Very impressive that so many of you are retired young.

I guess my question is; what do you do with the second half of your life now? Even the 54 yo playing as much golf as possible.

Then what...?

I retired at 55 (union pipefitter) sold my house in the burbs, moved to what was my summer camp. Live on a lake, world class snowmobiling right off my property. Good hunting, shooting range on property.
Its nice and quite except a few weekends in summer. Now waiting for snow, salt & sand to go. Z06 is sitting under cover & just waiting to go out and hit the nice twisty mountain roads in my area.

Don't play no Golf, got no time for that.

Interesting, all different backgrounds, and one common thread, the need for speed. Some have retired and own great cars working your so-called normal job, and others have high income generating jobs or businesses. So one can say, that as long as you have the fire, you will find a way to get your dream.

Engineer by schooling and first career(7yrs), then business owner (12yrs) before moving west, and now mortgage banking(8yrs). My Z06 is only a piece of the car equation, the other end of it is racing(dam those trophys cost me a lot of money).

4th generation in our family business, www.coastpacking.com

Originally a slaughter house/meatpacking company started in 1922 by my great grandfather. Today we are an edible oil and shortening manufacturer in Southern California serving the food manufacturing, foodservice, retail chain, industrial, and cattle feeding industries for the last 86 years. We make food taste good and chances are if you've ever had a Twinkee, Ding Dong or eaten at In N Out Burger, Tommy's, Fatburger, Islands, Chili's, Acapulco, Del Taco, El Torito, Chevy's, El Gallo Giro, etc... (the list can get pretty long), you are supporting our business. Not too mention thank you for your patronage.

I finance corporate airplanes for a living and just picked up my '08 atomic orange Z06 last Thursday. What a ride....I'm really enjoying being part of the Z06 owners club. The car performs well beyond what I imagined....
