Default New Car Smell Could Be Deadly!

Here is a link to a frightening article about that new car smell we've been conditioned to love. It's related to carcinogenic compounds that can be 200 times the safe limit.

Here's a quote directly from the article: "And the absolute worst-case scenario: The dashboard's to blame for your small *****."

Here's the link: Link

I will this, when I first got my Z, the chemical smell was so bad it gave me migraines. It is much better now.

I also remember being in my buddies C5 and it smelled like antifreeze.

My entire garage smells like epoxy resin. At least this is what it smells like to me. The smell is pretty strong inside and outside of the car and I love it. In addition, I actually think my ***** has gotten bigger since I've taken delivery of the car. Figure that one out...

If that were true, I'd be hung like a horse. ( Never can afford a new one).

I'm amazed we're still alive. Crack your window, open the baffles, turn up your radio, and drive on. You'll be fine.

Yea I cant stand that damn smell. The smell is worse when you drive a hot car into the garage and let it sweat it all out - UGH!

The smell in the Z was never that bad, so no complaints there.

Merc had the worst (health-wise) smell in the group in a study I read about a few months ago. Guess that 3 point star is a killer afterall!

Oh yes -- new car smell, totally worth the risk of cancer in my opinion

Everything causes cancer these days according to "experts"

Guess that explains why all pickup trucks, Hummers and large SUVs have smelly dashboards.
