Went from an 05 DSOM Z51 vert to an 09 ZO6. I really loved that car and thought real hard thinking I might miss putting the top down. I can tell you this car is even better.I have no regrets at all.

I don't regret buying mine, but I am the first to admit that the LS3 is a lot more bang for the buck. If you can comfortably afford a Z06 and are the kind of person who wants the most performance you can afford, then the Z06 is the right choice. If the extra expense is really a concern, then don't do it.

No regrets... Traded my 06 Vert for a 08 Z06 and I love this car!

Oh, man. I didn't know about this. Sorry to those having problems. I need to pay closer attention to mine. I've been driving it pretty hard off and on without problems, but I usually don't get on it until it's warmed up (under the presumption that you don't gun a cold engine).

The only thing I regret is this car has so much potential I keep poring more money into it .

What I regret is the huge amount of depreciation, very high tire wear & cost to replace them and registration fees are all so much higher than the baser 430 hp w/ Z51. Also the ride and noise is more. If none of this is an issue for you then get one. Mine is not a daily driver so the comfort and noise are not issues. But it does go so much faster.

It is all personal preference. Itis a great car either way.

I had an 05 C6 Coupe with the A4 tranny. I absolutely loved it. Then I saw the 427 Limited edition Z06. It was love at first sight. I bought my Z06 without ever driving a Z06 before. It is pure stress therapy for me. I travel for business all week and can't wait to get home and drive my Z. There is nothing quite like it. The C6 is awesome, but the extra horse power and the wide body fenders of the Z06 just set this car apart from the rest. I actually thought about the ZR1, but prefer the looks of the Z06. Needless to say, no regrets here.
