Default Dam##d Overspeed warning display !!!

Is there any way to de-program this warning display? Where I live it comes on at 120 kph and eliminates all the other info displays. Frankly, I'd rather know how things are performing at speeds OVER 120 KPH than at speeds under 120 kph

I have never seen this before. Is this new with the 07's or 08's?

I've never seen this either! And I'm always over 120 kph. Where are you? Is this an export model?

Yes, I'm in the Middle East, and the car is to European specs. There's good and bad to that - I get heated seats as standard... I also get great desert roads where the limit is somewhere in my cerebellum But the display sure is annoying

take it to a tuner that can reprogram your factory software, or buy the LS2edit kit from a forum vendor such as halltech, and you can see if it ~might~ be able to be programmed out of the factory settings. you might even be able to increase the threshold (kph) at when the warning appear.

thats just a guess, dont hold me to it.

hey guys...got the same problem ...if ur over 120 kph..it comes out on the display..OVERSPEED WARNING...its really annoying..i tried putting it in com mode..and turning off the handling..well frankly nothing worked..

went to the dealer...and they couldnt do anything about it...

I heard theres some sensor the tells the ecu everytime it goes over speed...if u could find it..u could cancel it..

ur right HotZ06 ..specs here in the middle east come with seat heaters...plus on the front bumper it has this lil water sparing thing that sparyes water on the headlamps...

Won't be a problem as all US cars have a 55 MPH speed limiter...;-)

haha, man this is so normal, and I will look for a solution on that one, there always is a way around it.

US-spec Z06's dont have this, infact they were surprized when seeing the warning in a few middle-east spec cars go beyond 120 in youtube or whatever,

Since when do Europeans care about speed warnings? They invented the Autobahn! Could this be something specific to the Gulf region? From what I remember of the Gulf, ALL cars have heated seats.

Is your Z06 black or blue? I saw a blue one in Doha the other day.

I have heard about it once here in Sweden. But this over speed varning only came over 200 mph (320 km). This car is tuned and has Kooks headers!

Bummer about the speed warning, I've driven mine at 250km/h and never seen it. I'm in Canada, it must be a eurospec thing.
