Of course they don't cite any sources for this latest revelation.

What better way to pay homage to Zora?
I think ZR-1 is the perfect choice, tips the hat to Zora for the vision, and reminds folks of the C4ZR1, one of the pinnacles of engine design.

of the HILL.....
I posted sometime back that I "thought" ZR-1 (or ZL-1) would fit this car (SS is for the "normal" Chevrolets). In it's history ZR-1 has always been used on the high output lowest production Corvette. From what we've heard about the Blue Devil, this would be a perfect time to bring the ZR-1 back!

Supposedly GM recently renewed their copyright on the ZR1 name. This looks a little more credible.

This is in a way a slap in the face to those who own c4 zr-1 who still think they own the rarest and best vette. The ZR1 word doesn't instantly get you thinking of a 32 valve dohc v8 anymore. But I;m glad they did it

why is that? To me ZR-1 represents beating the rest of the world with the corvette platform. In '89 this ment 180mph top speed. This was accomplished with a completely new engine. I think it is more important for the car to perform with the very top of the heap in the automotive world than how this is accomplished (ie: number of valves). If true, this is a continuation of the ZR1 with a low production world beater.....sounds appropriate to me. DOHC or not the ZR1 should be the top of the line corvette. I would love to see the name brought back and then maybe again in another 20 years.
