Default Laser Jammers -- where did you mount them?

For those of you who have installed laser jammers -- where have you installed the diffusers? Any pictures out there?

First, a "jammer" is not a diffuser. If you want a diffuser, mount it on your license plate and wait for your ticket.A jammer is a different beast,it has active circuitry that actually overloads the input on the gun.

Here are some pics of the jammer in the "on" position and concealed. I conceal it cuz in the People's Republik of Illinois it is illegal to mess with the Law.

It's called the "Blinder Extreme".

I mounted it by calling my "wrench" and a few hours later (and a few hundred bucks) it showed up neatly installed. There are tow on the front. Some guys put two in the rear as well. But since laser requires a motionless receiver I haven't bothered.

I use it whenever I am on the Interstate. So far though I don't know if it works or not. I do know my wife was nabbed by laser in her car where I drive every day, so...???

There are some video's out there of a few people testing that setup and it works really well. Something I may consider when I come back to the states.

But will they work behind the plastic grill ? i thought you needed clear sight ?

And does it retract up when not in use ?
What product does that ?

TIA

I have read specifically that you cannot mount the jamming units behind the grill as they will not function properly. I've also read that they must be aligned very accurately or it will not work. Proper installation is the key to these working.

I have the same setup but just haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Anyone in the Dallas area with experience AND the ability to show me it functions properly would get my business for installation.

It is only behind the plastic when it is retracted. It is down from the plastic bumper by small solenoid-contrlooed pistons when it is on.

You are correct, lidar being near infrared is blocked by many things. And further yes, one must check alignment carefully. A level gauge is provided in the kit.

Check out; http://www.radarbusters.com/laser-ja...fm?viewall=yes

I see they don't list the concealment kit,but last I called they were getting some. If it isn't illegal in your Country or Province don't bother with concealment.

Default Do they work

I bought a radar jammer from Rocky Mountain three years ago and put it in my Vette. The local cops are friends and I asked them to flip their radar on me when I went by and they clocked me accurately.
Has anyone tested the newer ones out and who sells them?

Radar Jammers are illegal in all 50 states due to the use of restricted radio frequencies. Lidar jammers are not illegal as there is no FCC regulation on light. Some states, however, have outlawed them as they have outlawed radar detectors.
