I drive mine daily, but only put about 8-10k miles a year on my cars. I try to avoid shopping centers and the like, but if I do I always hunt a good spot even if I have to walk a mile..lol.
These cars are meant to be driven daily if desired...a Dodge Viper or Ford GT on the otherhand are not daily drivers.
90% of the fun owning a Z06 is driving it..the other 10%: waxing it, admiring and showing off its beauty.

Every day! until winter sets in. Well almost every day, I alternate between our Elise. But the wife drives the Z06 every chance she gets. It is my opinion that the comfort in the Z06 is better than our Suburbans so the only time we use the trucks are when we need to pick something up or cart the kids around. Or when winter hits.

A daily driver for me! 19 mile, 45 minute trips each way to work. Lots of stop and go traffic. I bought it to drive and love it even when sitting throught my second or third stop light. I am almost 60 and have way too many hard miles on my knees. I was worried about the clutch. It is a total softie. Except for the time I let out the clutch, thinking I was in neutral and hurt my neck. The clutch is a softie until you let it grab. I am still amazed at how soft the pedal is compared to the torque capacity of the clutch. And I am getting way better city mileage than my 454 dually!

I came through the severe thunderstorms just south of you last night. I was planing quite a bit at 40MPH. That was the most extreme rain i've seen in years though.
With the mild winters we've seen, you can get saddle time 95% of the time, but if you don't have an alternate vehicle, you're going to be in trouble when there's snow on the ground. It's not about how you drive, it's about the shoes... Those summer treads just aren't made for snow.
PS. I love this shot of the snow in chicago: http://www.krocko.com/corvette/fileb...owbusiness.JPG

Daily Driver here in Central Virginia.
The plan was to do only about 3000 miles a year; but, once I drove it I just couldn't stop. After 13 months I've done over 14000 miles with about 1000+ of those at VIR. I'll be lucky if I can keep the TRACK miles under 3000 a year!

- Hauling capacity (fill back seat with track tires, trunk with tools, and passenger seat with suitcase and head out to the track).
- Sweet engine, buttery smooth all the way to the 8000rpm redline.
- Electrifying steering, communicating everything going on with precision and accuracy.
Things I love about the Z06.
- The two-seat "cockpit" feel.
- Sweet engine, that pulls like a freight train at all RPM and in every gear.
- Lower center of gravity, especially how it reduces body roll.
- Smaller aerodynamic cross section, much more long-straight friendly.
As I have said over and over again, these cars represent two very different takes on how to design and build a fun, fast, daily-driveable and fully-trackable sports car.
I don't regret making the move at all.

Daily Driver. 20K trouble-free miles since September 06. I use it to make my sales calls and have yet to get less than 20 MPG after each fuel stop. Great everyday car that adds smiles to the miles of a sales person. What is snow, anyway?

Awais you bastard.... lol. I was going to call you today but it got too late.
Look what I just picked up today>>>>
I got rid of the bike and needed something else to keep me entertained.
What the hell were you thinking of driving one of these things daily for??
