Black looks good, but you gotta admit yellow is the fastest!

no question, black does look the best when clean. all these pics confirm what everyone already knew. but I still bought a machine silver. I haven't washed the vette in 6 weeks and it still looks great

BTW...I couldn't imagine...6 weeks without a car wash, our black would be puke gray...
If this was my DD I wouldn't have gone black. MS, FTW...

I have owned mine for over a year now and I am still amazed at the performance and good looks of this car. Black is worth the work! Here are a few shots from my Sunday cruise in central Oklahoma.

Machine Silver...yep that was my 2nd choice when I made the trip up to Young Chev in Dallas last March but my buddy bought a Silver C6 last year and I just couldn't pull the trigger...with a choice of Black, Silver and Red all sitting in the show room something kept pulling me toward that damn, nasty, black Z...

Been there and done that.
Black is surely the meanest looking color for the C6.
Unfortunately for me, it was the also the "fastest" to show dust, lint, pollen, dirt, etc all within minutes of washing and polishing it up.
Great color - but one which I'll never have again!!

Fixed it for you.
Black does seem to get dirty about 15 minutes after it's been washed. That's why there is a support group for the owners of Black Corvettes.
Nobody knows the agony of keeping a Black Corvette clean nor the ecstasy of having a shiny Black Corvette better than the owner of a Black Corvette!
I'm on my third Black Corvette and think they are worth any additional work it might take to keep them looking good. No other Corvette has the shine of a clean Black Corvette. And I think a dusty or dirty Black Corvette still has more shine than some of the other colors.
Your mileage may vary ...

Beautiful pictures!
I had the Black/Silver debate when I was buying my Z as well. Luckily the dealer sold the Silver one about 10 minutes before I called him to say I was buying one of the three he had (other was a RF). I wanted black anyways... the pictures speak for themselves.
