2006 C6 Z06 Twin Turbo with Pictures and Dyno Graphs
I thought some of you guys might enjoy this, and wanted to share.
Stock LS7, Twin GT35R Turbos, Lingenfelter 100mm MAF, Modified BB Exhaust (catback) 5.8 psi of boost!! The car only had 1,404 miles on it The Torque output was 631 ft/lb at 3600 RPM.
I do not think many people have done this set-up with these turbos yet. I was impressed with the car!
The customer was from Alabama but the car was put together by Walker Morgan from Morgan Performance Fabrication http://www.mpfab.com
He has some of the best fab/welding skills I have seen. Super clean work!
The car made a 58X HP pull but got heat soaked by the end of the day! I tuned the car with HP Tuners Software.
I will try to get a video of one of the pulls up later!
Horse Power and Torque
The same run showing the boost pressure.
An estimated Flywheel output of the car done in the Dyno Dynamics Shoot out mode

no, sorry friend
The engine looks stock from above, the car has to be on a lift to see the turbos, so I did not get any.

Glad you guys got it worked out! I had been trying to help Walker sort things out with the MAF issues, I know that has tested his patience to the max
Excellent setup, VERY clean, professional fabrication!
5#s is about all I would push the stock pistons to. A forged, lower compression piston and stronger rod would allow more boost, but Im sure the car is a handful now, what is it going to do at 15#s? I bet it spins a dynojet to a much better number. Dyno Dynamics are a little conservative.
Congrats guys

Louis!
Thank you for all the help and kind words. Your 100% correct; Walker worked very hard on the car and did one heck of a job! He deserves all the credit! Great guy and great work!
thank you Louis

Some Turbo's tend to do this but this is because the turbo make such monstrous mid range torque. The car still wound up making amazing power.
The aftermarket toys coming out for this car are getting better!

Thank you for all the comments everyone!
Peak torque occurs very early in the pull. On the street lugging the car in 3rd at 1500 RPM the car bolts forward at the slightest provocation of the throttle. It is simply amazing. The end of the graph actually falls off a bit more than it should. There is an RPM discrepancy at the very end of the graph due to the tires slipping from about 150 mph to redline at 157 mph. I used the dyno's roller speed to get the RPM. If I had used an inductive pick-up on the car we would not have had that problem. All the other RPM points look to be correct; just not the end of the run. That was a little to fast for me anyway... even sitting still on a dyno.
thank you

At first I thought it might be a tuning issue, but the explanation given of the rollers slipping makes sense too.
I'm not being negative here, things just didn't look right to me. Carry on.

The car is over 200 miles away now, so I can not help with the pictures. The man that built the kit for the car Walker Morgan has pictures of the build. He will be adding them to his website soon. www.mpfab.com
thank you
