Spoke with him at length again today, as I had to get all the sales paperwork for the XLR-V back to him for the Monday ship date.
He confirmed the pricing.
I'm thinking about a few options, this being one of them. I'm also thinking of going to Barrett-Jackson in January, and may decide to take an entirely different direction.

Can you provide the name of this dealer? there are many others on this forum who would greatly appreciate attaining a similar deal.

I hope more deals like this pop up in the next couple of weeks. I am geting ready to pull the trigger on a new Viper for $73k ($90k msrp) and a loaded $78k msrp Z06 for even $72k would make me reconsider.

All i'm saying is hoping won't get you a lower price. Perhaps a long wait or a good dealer..........

Oh Ok, now I understand. No don't worry, I'm definitely not relying on hope, I'm relying more on the two things you stated, a good dealership/personal seller, or, more importantly, waiting for the right time. We'll see.

A Z priced in the mid to high 60's is exactly where it should be. The bump by GM this year was ridiculous and completely unnecessary. It was caused solely by folks paying more than they should have last year. GM decided to grab most of the dealer adjustment back to themselves. Now they may have shot themselves in the foot because of decreasing demand for the car. It was priced exactly right at the 06 MSRP IMO…...

The problem with XLR-V is that it has price tag of a benz, performance of a base-level vette and interior of the kia.
You;re right on the price. I;ve seen quite a few B/N XLRV with a buy now price of $75K

The V is not a ZO6. It probably is going to be a dog for GM. There still seem to be short supply of the ZO6 and an average dealer only sees 2 or 3. I have called plenty of dealers and there still is a line although prices have seemed to soften. MSRP seem to be the best out there, I notice most posts start with " an out of state dealer" BS still flies until the car is delivered.

Could anyone PM me with the name and number of the dealer who offered 10,000 below sticker?
It would be much appreciated.

That's great and all, but FYI, the V was delivered yesterday. That deal was good, and I have every confidence that the pricing I was given on the Z will stand should I decide to buy one.
Purvis...I sent you a PM. If you're interested give me a call.

FYI...this is the invoice info that was sent concerning a Z that I spoke to the salesman about...
