Stripes vs no Stripes
This is perhaps a naive question.... On the '04 Z-06 what's the difference between the blue ones with the Factory white stripes and w/o the stripes? Is it only the paint work? Are they a special edition?

Danbo, this will probably get moved to the C5 Z06 section, where it really belongs...but the answer is the blue with white striped 2004 Z06's were the Z16 Lemans Commemorative Edition. Z16.org tells you all about them.

The model you are referring to is the Z-16. It had a carbon fiber hood, polished wheels and a "Z-16" logo on the upper part of the seat. The only difference is about a 10.6 weight pound difference between the regular Z06 and the Z-16 because of the lighter hood. Everything else is basically cosmetic. They built 2025 of this model and more of the Z-16 was made than any other color in 2004.

Mine won't EVER be worth ANYTHING to anybody but me.
2 years, one month, and 26,000 miles. I travel 3/4 of mile of dirt road to get
to my 150 yards of "little stones" up the hill driveway.
But, I do wash it at least one a month in the "quarter" car wash.
What is the "price of daily fun" vs. ROI (Return On Investement) after you are dead ?
Uh, would that be "priceless" ?

I recently sold my Z16....there were four people lined up to buy it the first weekend it was advertised.

Hope you enjoyed your ride while you had it.
