Two Tone LeMans Blue Z06
Interesting Z06 was running laps at Sebring this past weekend. No it is not a two tone LeMans Blue, but covered with what was described ¾ inch wide painters tape. Was reported to be very fast even with the extra sticky.

Holy crap that's a bunch of work and tape... I run tape at HPDEs behind my wheel wells, but that's it.
There was a guy w/ an M3 out who used to tape 70% of his car up.... cazy... just buy a clear bra if you care that much.

This is where I tape up my Vette when I go to the track. You really don’t even need to tape up under the Z06 emblem, I do it because I don’t want to risk the beautiful carbon fiber.

I would suggest you go to your local home-improvement or hardware store and buy some rolls of clear shelf liner. It has adhesive, but it isn't agressive enough to damage paint. Easy to install, easy to remove and looks much better than blue masking tape.

I had the pleasure of instructing Mark in the "taped" car for his first session at Sebring (we did not run out of gas when I was in the car by the way). I had to head back home to catch a plane to San Francisco Monday AM so I missed the late afternoon sessions
I used to tape my 2002 ZO6 in 2001-2002 when I started to track it - I gave it up and live with the chips and skidmarks.
The car was quick and very, very forgiving. Patience is important when you are in a far more capable car then most folks on the track. But that does not mean the driver is capable of wringing the most out of the car.
Great cars and well driven will be hard to beat!
