Sae results were:

06z- 447 h.p 419 torque
05 Viper- 433 h.p. 475 torque

Cars were dynoed in Las Vegas

Both cars complely stock as well.

Just thought I would share this with you guys.
(BTW my car goes in the shop next week for some LG longtubes, new air filter, getting the car lowered about 3\4 inch, windows tinted, and having the polished wheels powdered coated black, and I am going to put the LG exhaust switch in as well)

I will post the new dyno results on my car after the mods have been put on, probably bout a week or so....Shooting for close to 500
rwhp

Oh, and by the way, top speed in fourth gear on the Z was around 156 mph, the viper was about 10 m.ph less or so...If I remember correctly

Greg
My 60 ft times were terrible, 2.1XX or so. Hey, I have not been to the drag strip for over 12-13 years or so...I did three launches, the first launch the car was cool and I was flying solo when the car was cool and optimal...I did NOT leave off the line with any RPM whatsoever, I basically dropped the clutch at 0 RPM (In COMPETITIVE MODE) and hammered it, the car hooked AWSOME, I hit second (around 6.8k or so) and the car only did a bit of a chirp...(I did not powershift at all anytime though) and I hit 3rd etc...The car pulled EXTREMELY hard! )I raced a mid 90's ZR1 with 400 rwhp at the ground and basically left him standing at the start and beat him by very many car lengths...The second run I had a passenger, and my time worsened to 12.7, again not knowing how to drive the car well...And my 3rd launch I let it go at about 3k rpm (again in competive mode) and blew the tires all the way thru 1st and missed 2nd ( ) and I ended up with a 13.8...
But I must say, that I basically whooped the hell out of all the older HOT RODS that were their (the older cars with all motor etc) and I did not have a clue as to how to optimally drive the damn thing!

Anyways, just my input from the night at the tracks! (and BTW, the weather was good, prob around the high-mif 60's or so, and the track was good as well!)

Performed at Heffner's 08/05/05
Car was stock.
Using your post for info only (BTW good numbers and thanks for the info) and taking both cars to redline in 4th gear, the Viper (with a 3.07 rear and 345/30-19 tires) will run 157.9 MPH (159 MPH if using the tire diameter from Tirerack) and the Z06 (with a 3.42 rear and 325/30-19 tires) will run 162.4 MPH (7000 RPM redline). (This assumes brand new tires, if the Viper rear tires are well over half worn after 4500 miles, it drops to ~156.8 MPH @ 6000 RPM.) If the dyno operator had the Z06 at 156.xx MPH, then he must have stopped the dyno run at ~6750 RPM. For the Viper to be 10 MPH slower (146 MPH), its' dyno run must have been stopped at 5550 RPM which is not even to where peak HP is suppose to occur. The highest RPM it can be at and still be in the 140's (149.9 MPH) to give the perception of "about 10 MPH less" would be 5700 RPM. This is provided for info only, anybody can do a search for MPH/RPM calculators and plug the numbers in to see for yourself.

The bottom line is the Z06 will go faster at its' redline than the Viper will at its' redline, but the dyno operator was a little optimistic at 10 MPH faster.

Of course in the end, these are all just a bunch of numbers...like you just said above, the main thing for us is to have fun!

If I remember correctly the Mph was approx high 140's.149 I think.Same dyno my Zr1 did 145 with stock gears(342).Just had the Viper out 1st gear @6000 56mph.With the gears and redline differences they are very close.

No need to tell the different makes if you are faster than all of them.

I know you are gonna say that the modded vipers are much faster... But we are not talking about modded ones, are we?
