Also, the C5 Z does not have the power to weight ratio the C6 Z has. Do you have any idea how hard it is going to hook up this monster from a launch with its runcraps on it? Runfalts, 505 hp, 3130 lbs, 2.66 1st gear ratio..Good luck hooking that thing up!

Now, if they put drag radials on the car and were able to actually get the FULL power to the ground, I will be the first to say that the Z will hit a 0-60 in 3.5 secs! So remember, I am not saying the Z does not have the power..boy does it ever, but traction on that car is going to be a big problem given the circumstances I mentioned above..

It is common knowledge that the o5 Z06 with an excellent driver goes 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. That having been said, I do agree with you about the traction problem with the runcraps and to get the KILLER 0 to 60 times the new Z will need some real stickies (i.e.-drag radials or at least a killer non drag radial similar to a BFG KD, or NITTO EXTREME or R2s,etc )

Do you still pay the $800 destination if you do NCM delivery?

ok, dumb question but i want to be sure because i heard some people mention some weird stuff with radio pricing.....the $2900 2LZ includes the $1740 US9 (bose, 6CD radio) right? As in total of $2900 and not $4640.

?

it's only if you get the Navi that you are kinda paying for two radios, no?

No. The 2LZ package includes:

Side air bags
Luggage shade
Memory
Auto dimming mirror
Heated seats
XM Radio
Power steering column
Homelink

The radio comes with the base Z06. The only radio upgrades are:
US9 - 6-disk CD Changer
U3U - Navigation

You forgot the cargo net that you get with 2LZ - also the compass that is included with the mirror package (but it's useless unless you're running straight and level) - makes for a whole new definition of "value".

The Order Guide is not crystal clear on the radio options vis-a-vis' 1LZ and 2LZ, so for now I'll take your word that you've scoped it out.

so this isn't accurate?

http://performin.homeip.net/images/c6/c6orderguide.pdf

it seems to show the U3U as standard equipment (black box) with the 2LZ.

Hadn't seen that before.

But it shows the U2K and US9 as Standard Equipment with the 2LZ. It shows the U3U as available.

But I see what you're saying. It doesn't say anything about a price change even though it deletes the 2LZ's included 6-disk changer. Hmmm...

Okay, here's the answer:

You cannot get the Navigation with the 1LZ package. I know it says that you can on the document, but according to CorvetteConti you cannot. The price of $1740 for the U3U is to upgrade from the 6-disk changer, which comes standard with the 2LZ package.

Again, this is as per Corvette Conti at DC.

And after 3.7 is where awd is a parasitic drag.

The Z06 doing it at 3.7 with RWD is phenominal, and shows just how much more power and car it is than the 911 turbo.

Scissors - $1600 for the U3U (Navigation) to upgrade from the 6-disk changer within the 2LZ package?? If I remember, the 6-disk and navigation are mutually exclusive. Can't have both.

I would say more like 3.0 seconds with drag radials.
