1LZ limited to a few %?
Yesterday, on another forum, I read that only a very few ZO6's will be 1LZ configured. Can anyone comment on this? I'm #1 on my dealer's list, but want a 1LZ car. Hoping to get an early production car, but that may not happen if 1LZ are severly limited as they said.

1LZ is your basic stuff everybody wants the 2LZ is the woofy stuff your may want but don't need on a track car.
You can't order the 2LZ without the 1LZ...
So if it's true that only a small % will have the 1LZ then an even smaller % will have the 2LZ...does that make sense. NO!

I have heard this as well. AND it would really suck! I do not want the heated seats, side airbags and telecoping wheel. I am #4 on a big dealer list (top 3) putting my money down almost a year ago.
Man, if i sit there and get passed over every week
The reason it would be constrained is simple ---- $$$$$
If I have to to get a car, I will probably go 2LZ

I was wondering if that was going to happen at the start of production (to maximize profit for GM), since they did a similar thing with the regular C6 (only 1SB's were made at the start).

Dealers will order most cars for the lot with 2LZ to scrape out that little extra profit. I'd guess the package will be around $3k compared to the coupe packages. I'd have to get the XM though. O&A Party Rock!

C6 Z06
Can anyone tell me what they think will be the top 3 most popular ordered colors of the new Z06.
Also, which route sounds more popular to go on the wheel options..polished or not polished if the owner wants to ultimately have the wheels chrome plated.
Thanks,
Ralph White

Most of the early cars will be 2LZ! Others may be constrained. GM and Dealers make more on fully optioned cars and the factories usually start out attempting to make loaded cars to get any problems out. We may not like it but that is the way it is. Therefore, my two on order are 2LZ!

2 reasons as set forth above:
(1) Experience for the line fully installing everything--on the job training.....fewer chances of 'mistakes' if 'everything' goes in..
(2) PROFIT $$$...more profit in the fully loaded package for GM and a little more for the dealer. Bulid time on the line is the same....they pay a few hundred...ok maybe a $1000-1500 wholesale for all the extra do dads going into the loaded package but will charge $5000 more for it...you do the math.... (but see reason #1-also important)
