JD Power Survey
Just received JD Power Survey in the mail today.
Purchased the car 9/7 and have approx. 400 miles so far.
This survey goes into GREAT DETAIL about possible problems.
Luckily, mine has none, so it was easy for me to fill out.
Any other's get this yet?

If you have a way to take pics or scan it in, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could post the survey.

Color of car
Things that have gone wrong (this one takes up 2 pages, and it's in depth with what they are looking for, just about anything and everything is questioned - right down to the ease of using the cupholders)
Finally, page 4 asks for MORE INFORMATION about the problems you may have reported. (Miles when it happened, have you gone to the dealer with the problem, how much does the problem bother you, would the problem prevent you from buying it again, etc)
Luckily I have no problems, so I got through it quick!

I received the same survey.
It appears like it will be used for the initial quality report. The questions are related only to problem areas.
I too have not had any problems so I just had to fill out the car info, mileage, purchase date, purchase or lease.

Got mine 6 weeks after I took delivery. I haven't returned it yet. Too busy driving!

You know, I got these on my last Corvettes and honestly, I think JD Power is a load of crap.
Who has serious problems with a car in the first month or so of ownership?
If they had sent me the survey at year one, or year two I could have told them about rocking seats, column locks, shifter rattles, gas gauges that weren't working properly and more.
JD Power ratings are meaningless.

I understand, perhaps I should have stated my point more literally.
I think that by asking new owners about their satisfaction with a car, J.D. Powers does not get an accurate representation of the quality of the vehicle. They are just measuring how many of them arrive new with defects.
A far more useful measurement would be "how many cars experience serious or numerous defects in the first couple of years of ownership."
Thus, I still say JD Powers ratings mean crap. You will learn a lot more at a site like this about problems you are likely to experience with a vehicle. I have experienced nearly ALL of the basic problems that you will find detailed here on this site at some time of my Corvette ownership:
Column lock
Gas gauge
rocking seat
These are not things that JD Powers measures.
