C5/C6 Nose To Nose You Tell Me!

They both look gorgeous!
However, I like the tight lines of the C6. The C5 looks dated next to it. Thank goodness pop-ups are dead. Long live HIDs and fewer moving parts to break!

Both are great looking cars! The C5 looks better though... more refined looking. Nose of the C6 looks a little stubby in comparison I guess.. and the duck-tail on the C6 is "okay" but I prefer the rounded appearance on the C5's tail. However, I like the rear-glass on the C6 better, seems to come closer to the rear bumper, that's cool. But, as I said, they are BOTH gorgeous and BOTH very deserving of the Corvette name.
Oh, and also, I like the fact the Corvette's emblem is more visible on the back end of the C6. Though I'm not too crazy about the whole off-centered CORVETTE lettering on it, nor the black piece on the bottom w/reverse lights on it. Oh, and the C5's emblem is better looking. The C6's emblem is rather simplistic and the whole psuedo-depth on the flags using two shades of red is a little cheesy.

Every where I go in my PR C6 I get nothing but positive comments. Not to mention tons of thumbs up everyday when on the the roads and freeways of southern california, even other car owners flagging me down to have a up close look. This car draws attention like no other I have owned. (first vette for me)
The two time I have parked my C6 next a 02 C5 and 03 ZO6 all I hear is how out dated the C5 looks next to the C6. These are non vette owners and vette owners alike making these comments.

Corvettes are great cars and they both look beautiful. I actually didn't like corvettes AT ALL until the C5 debut. The C5 is the car I fell in love with.
But, the C6 looks so much better. The C6 looks the best to me, hands down.

I think I'm having a hard time wrapping my hands around this whole "dated look thing" about the C5. I can only assume it is because it IS dated and has been seen a lot over the past 8 years. But, looking at the cars without any prejudice about current history, I cannot see how one looks more dated than the other. They basically look like the same car, aside from the fact the C5 is a little more swept in appearance and not so jagged. I'd have thought the hard lines of the C6 were more dated because they are more like the C2's fenders or even the old C3's. Hmmmm.. And the exposed headlamps can't make the C6 look more "fresh" simply because 99.9% of the cars on the road sport the same thing too. I can see how a C1 looks dated because it has a lot of old fashioned design cues to it. The C5 and C6 could have easily been interchanged on the timeline without much difference.
I can only assume the "dated" C5 thing is a result of it not being the new-thing anymore. Though, that makes little sense.
