I just tried some NXT on my Black SS Silverado. Not impressed at all, White nasty powdery stuff, that clogs up the towel. Back to Zaino for me. That was a waste of $30 (bought the enhancer also). I'll use it on my Bike, I wax it often and the surfaces are small.

I got some Adam's Polishes Butter Wax for my C6 which hasn't arrived yet. But on my other cars it works great! Their microfiber towels and quick detailer work well too for final touch up. I discovered them through the West Coast Corvettes Catalog then saw a demo at the OC Swap Meet. The owner Adam is a total car freak, owning old vettes, motorcycles, and huge new black diesel trucks for show cars.
The Zaino polish did not last long on my cars, two or three washings and it needed more wax, Adam's products are more durable IMO.

I'm confused, I just ordered the Z2 for my C6 which should arrive in December and now some members are saying not to use it. I will abide my what you professional think is best, as I do not want to use something that will harm the paint surface.

Zaino lasts AT LEAST 6 mos. You will find Zaino to be the most popular polish for C5 owners on the CForum. However, I will be the first to admit, polishes/ waxes are like styling, they are hard to quantify and therefore, subjective. But if you use Zaino, you will be pleased. I use the Z-1 the first time and every 10 coats as recommended. However, you do not need to buy every product they sell, even though a Zaino salesman will try to get you to. Buy Z1, Z2, and if you have a dark colored car, buy Z5. You apply 2 or 3 coats of Z5 until the swirl marks are filled / covered (allow 24 hours between coats). Then you apply 1 coat of Z2 (which has better optical properties than Z5) and it looks "like buttah" for 6 mos. I also use the Zaino car wash (Z7) because I can't help but believe it will be less likely to take the Zaino polish off. I did not like the ZFX, which allows you to apply coats without waiting 24 hours. You have to pre-mix the Z2 or Z5 witth the ZFX, and then once you mix it, you have to use it or it's no good the next time. I found that to be a pain in the ****. I would not use the clay bar on a new car either, unless I had to remove overspray, etc. There have been people who have put swirl marks in their paint by not using enough lubricant (Z7) while rubiing w/ the clay bar. Enjoy. Applying the Zaino in stages is part of the fun of babying your Corvette.

I try everything, and am always open to new products. So far Zaino has been the best. It really does work well. The initial prep is a lot of work, but after that each coat is cake, and then Z6 enhancer is by far the easiest I have found. By far. I live at altitude and it is very dry here so it almost drys instantly.
