Default Answer these C6 questions before you continue to love the C6

I really love corvettes mine is a 03 coupe. Just to let everyone know up front I am NOT jealous of the C6 because I have a C5, I like the 1953-C5 vettes

I hate to ask, but what are your feelings the questions below. Please look at pictures as you answer. I don't like the car enough to trade my C5 ("C5 the best vette ever", everyone said it, until the c6 talk started, stand behind you car, don't just buy a c6 because it's the new model.)

1. The back end, take a good look at it. Corvette written on the side doesn't look balanced?
2. Hump where the 3rd brake light looks bad?
3. Reverse lights are too low, and look cheap?
4. Brake light led look?
5. Rear end looks cut from the side view?
6. XM Antenna looks bad?
7. Front license plate looks terrible?
8. Passenger side dash area looks very plain needs something?
9. hood gaps are to big?
10.The black rubber around the headlights looks bad unless the car is black?
11. The fuel rail covers are too square?
12. Steering wheel is ulgy?
13. Rev it up to 6000 RPM a few times, I bet we will soon here a few posts about at bearing noise, trust me I a got this from a couple GM employees (Compressor)

Reply let us know your thoughts!!!!!

I agree with one thing ...#7. Other than that, you are off base. Sounds like you are in denial and nit picking to convince yourself.

And I agree with No. 6, but that's part of the reason I'm not getting the XM radio.

Now that I think of it, those fuel rail covers do look too square. Guess I'll get a C5 then. Don't want to be caught driving a car with fuel rail covers which dont have enough curve to them.

I'll give this a try.

1) No.
2) Nah.
3) They're not too low and it's not the first car to put them there. Cheap? Eh.
4) Fine with me.
5) Possibly, but that's not inherently bad.
6) Another thing that bugs others, but isn't phasing me.
7) Yes it does.
8) Looks fine to me.
9) Possibly, let's ask Tracey!
10) Looks fine. (Just got a closer look)
11) um...sure
12) It doesn't blow me away, but it doesn't offend me like it's doing to everyone else.
13) I don't care about the exhaust note. (yes I am rare.)

Answer two questions for me

1) I joined the Corvetteforum to rake mud?
2) I hope they lift the lifetime ban on me at the mustang forum?

Yea, I'll take a whack at it....
1. No.
2. No.
3. No. I like the look of them down there, it's different from the other vettes, and it looks good.
4. Doesn't bother me.
5. Haven't noticed that (maybe i should check it)
6. Ugliest thing BY FAR on the C6. Get it off!!!!!!!!!!
7. see answer to #6
8. I agree with that. It doesn't look bad though (dont get me wrong). But yea, it looks like something's missing.
9. Not really. I thought that when it first came out, but I dont mind/notice it now...
10. Doesnt bother me.
11. No.
12. Yes. Looks like it rolled onto the vette from the Malibu (I can deal with it though....)
13. ????

But, GM please!!!! HIDE THE XM RECIEVER!!!!! just my 2 cents...

I agree about the front plate (don't run one anyway), XM antenna (don't have to get that option), passenger side dashboard (the rest of the interior makes up for it) and the steering wheel (I hear they may be changing this to a 3 spoke by next year.) Otherwise, it looks great...and you can always get the body colored spoiler, etc.

1. The back end, take a good look at it. Corvette written on the side doesn't look balanced?
Looks fine to me! Doesn't have to be balanced. Unless you suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder and need something written on the other end to feel good.

2. Hump where the 3rd brake light looks bad?
If it bothers you enough buy the body colored cover to make it look more appealing.

3. Reverse lights are too low, and look cheap?
Doesn't matter how low they are as long as they fulfill their purpose - shine light behind you. Cheap? A back up light is usually made of cheap clear plastic. What else would you expect?

4. Brake light led look?
I actually like the look!

5. Rear end looks cut from the side view?
Looks sweet to me! Doesn't look so long as the C5 does. C5 kind of looks like a boat compared to the C6.

6. XM Antenna looks bad?
On the coupe not so bad, on the vert yes. That's why I'm not getting XM.

7. Front license plate looks terrible?
Okay, maybe you got one right there. Lucky for me, my state does not require one.

8. Passenger side dash area looks very plain needs something?
What would you like to be there? A DVD monitor perhaps.

9. hood gaps are to big?
Not a big deal.

10.The black rubber around the headlights looks bad unless the car is black?
Just looked at Tracey's pics. Don't have any problem with that issue.

11. The fuel rail covers are too square?
Never really noticed.

12. Steering wheel is ulgy?
Most steering wheels with an airbag are ugly. Nothing compares to a non-airbag equipped steering wheel like a Momo.

13. Rev it up to 6000 RPM a few times, I bet we will soon here a few posts about at bearing noise, trust me I a got this from a couple GM employees (Compressor)
Won't really hear it once I have my exhaust system swapped out and I'm blasting the music!

I look at #6 and don't see anything that bad, I have and have had some GM vehicles with that type of antenna and didn't mind it a bit. I like those better than a mast antenna any day. The more I think about it, I think it is kinda cool looking. Actually the only thing I think they went backwards on in looks was the loss of the embroidery on the seats. Everything else works well for me. I am going to come up with a different solution for the plate.

I dont like the front lights, hidden lights for me. My wifes car is a Chrysler Sebring, the C6 front end looks kinda like it, WHAT DO YOU THINK? I dont like the 3rd brake like, looks like a 80ies thing. XM antenna but ugly! I will wait 7 or 8 years by then Im sure the C6 will be real hot. I just bought a C5 vert. 4 weeks ago I had a choice, C5 or C6. I saved big bucks and got the best of the last! The bottom line is there all Vettes Im just happy to have #1. The C6 is in its first year I will give time and the $$$ will go down to in time... You can take that to the bank!

#6 - not getting it (don't care)
#7 - not putting it on (don't care)

Everything else is subjective and to me, petty at best.
