Cool vid, except for the part where the C6 finishes 3rd to the TVR, NSX, and 911. After the first few seconds I had to turn off the volume though because I was disgusted with what I was hearing. I really liked seeing what the C6 can do. Can't wait to hear what they say about the C6 Z.

That UN drag race was a joke. Here's a link to just the race.

Pause that at 00:40 , the C6 is clearly in 2nd. How could the NSX catch up so fast in the next very few seconds to beat the C6. Plus the guy driving it is talking the entire time he was racing, so how could he possibly do the best he could?

That's why I turned off the volume because what they say is . The C6 shouldn't finish 2nd to a TVR either.
C6-400hp
TVR-350hp
911-320hp
NSX-290hp
C6-400hp

This guy is a bit too biased to give a good review. It may have been for the video but he was paying more attention to the camera than his driving. Looks like he came to the party with an attitude.

I agree with you regarding what was said...there were a few times I wanted to jump through my monitor and kick some British A$$! :mad
I mean come on you wussy host..."the clutch hurts my leg...oh it's soooo hard to shift into gear"-- Go get a mini cooper then ya pansy.
And enough with the leaf springs...they work and the car handles great!
Also, yes the bumpers are made of plastic...what do they use on the Porsche and other exotics...is it steal???
Thanks for posting the link...it was great to watch the Vette go around the track. No matter what anyone says, the C6 is awesome and I can't wait to own one.

that's one of the stupiest things I've ever watched....what is that, a British propaganda add?
the NSX, the NSX-R and NSX-S are jokes - slow as hell...no way they even come close to any of those cars. the whole thing is a joke.
check out these videos for some really interesting races ---

I'd like to say something here. First of all, I thought the C6 performed beautifully on the track and if it had been driven by an unbiased driver, it would have probably been number one or a close tie with the TVR. Secondly, and most importantly, I hope Dave Hill sees this video and has it thrown in his face by everyone at GM. Dave Hill did everything possible to turn our beloved american Corvette into a "Eurovette". It became narrower, shorter, The Front end was designed specifically for a European license plate in mind (notice how nice it looks on there compared with an american license plate) as the rear difusser with built in backup/reflector lights. So will the europeans flock to buy the new Eurovette??? NOOOO It will not get a single full praise from any magazines and sales will at most slightly hit a small bump the first couple of years (Z06 sales will probably dominate because of its estimated 500 hp). This is why the Corvette should always be an AMERICAN icon and not be designed and geared for the world. If this continues, the C7 will be designed with a tall blunt nose and brick like shape to meet european pedestrian impact requirements (it'll have to be in order to be sold in Europe). Then, not only will GM not sell any more vettes than it does already, it'll lose its loyal customers that have been there for over 50 years!!!!

spikalcat,
You said it perfectly.
By the way, Here's what DC is saying about this (I'm a member of both)

I'm DLing now, and I see the whackness already. They are notably biased, but the NSX couldn't beat a C5. though, from what I know of TVRs, they are very light, so I can see that edging out even a C6.

Yes, extremely biased. They would be very impressed with a Camaros supension since they hate leaf springs so much. The guy on the track obviously didn't know how to drive it and it still came in near the top of their list. I wouldn't have wasted the time to download it if I would have known about the slant. To those that have not downloaded, don't waste the bandwidth. I'm going to delete it from my hard drive now.
