Any guess as to the resale value of the C6?
I read on the various forums that the C6 is not the real Vette the Lutz wants and there might be another update in 3-4 years? How many of you think that's true? and what will it do to resale?
In general, how does the value hold up for a 1st year model Vette. For example, was there as much excitement as we have now when the C5 came out? How well did the resale for the first year C5 held up?
Thanks in advance.
Paul

A major re-design in 3-4 years? No way… I don’t buy that.
For what its worth, my guess is ~ 7 years.

If a new Corvette were to appear in 3 to 4 years it would knock thousands off dollars off resale value unless you had the front plate bracket installed. Those cars would have already lost thousands of dollars.

Don't read other Forums. Tom Peters has stated that the Lutz stories of him not happy with the C6 are not true.
The "Lutz-hates-C6" rumors are TOTAL
I was there the first time Lutz saw C6 in person and I saw him hug brother Dave and say that he was comfortable with EVERYTHING he saw...including the LPB, the Headlights, the CHMSL, and all the other crap the so-called Corvette Community is about!

If you are think about resale value already I suggest you forget about a Corvette and get something else.

My guess is that it will follow the C5 curve. The first few years it holds it's value extremely well. There aren't many on the used market and they go for a good price. The market starts to soften three to five years into the run for used C6s. When the C7 is ready to come out the prices take a big drop.

Take into account the Aztec inspired design incorporated into the new vette and I'd give you Twelve Hundred for one.
