Since I see it offended ya, sorry....you mentioned REAL CORVETTE.. well to me a real corvette is convertible and thats what i've always had and is what my 95 is it's a vert..atleast we both have that so calm down trust me you have a REAL corvette bc it's a convertible I just perfer the mag red with light oak top ex: my 95 is dark red metallic with a light beige top and late dark red metallics 75u is SO close to the mag red. well cya round

Torch red is superior IMO. Why not just have both? I don't know why GM would diss the people that like the long-lived torch red....

If you've seen the new front plate holder and the antenna for XM Radio, it's painfully obvious that GM has made some big mistakes with the C6. Add Precision Red to that list.

Time will establish the C5 as a true classic. The C6 will be cool, but overall the C5 is meaner, and more American. Cool is pop up head lights, and I was head over heals in love with the C6 until I saw it in person, it's a great car, but it's not as cool as the C5. I have a silver, vert, and it's as bad as bad can be with my upgrades. I had an 03 was going to hold out and get the C6 but once I saw the car, I elected to go ahead and get the last of the best C5.

Laugh all you want, but the C5 has a helluva lot better chance at becoming a classic than the C6. Time will tell.

It's just a prediction so it really doesn't need to be based on anything. Let's wait and see which generation people prefer.......my money is on the C5.

whatever.....the c6 z06 will be the first to bring back a BIG BLOCK since the c3's....and a 427 at that! and a base c6 will out run the current z06 it is 400hp 6.0 liter and I know the z06 now is 405hp but the base c6 is like 200lbs lighter so it will turn better times then a 04 z06...it will be a classic over a c5 I think

Don't think so. I believe the C5zo6 will end up being about 50lbs lighter.

the C5 is a better looking car hands down. The C6 looks like chevy was trying to copy a porche or something. Take the extra money you'd pay for a C6 and put that into a C5 and you will blow the doors off the C6. The C5 is class! We've been doing that to the porches, BMW's, Mercedes, and Lex's already, no new thing. VARA RAM< CORSA EXHAUST,Power Duct, and coupler- AWESOME

True...but anything modded enough can out do the next car lol. Thing about that is when you mod a vette nobody will want it when you go to sell.

thanks for the pics! That's a great side by side shot! It's hard for me to decide personally which is like better. The new m red looks a bit classier in my own taste, but on the other hand the sharper older torch red looks more to me like a race car color. It reminds me a bit of the Ferrari red.
