I know a lot of folks don't like the C6 interior but I really do. I think they did an excellent job classing it up even if it wasn't what most expected. Just from the pics, the materials look light years better and the fits look much tighter as well. I'd venture to guess that the interior squeeks are an order of magnitude less than the C5.

I like the NAV setup better, btw but this is acceptable.

While I like the use of multiple colors, it still looks Volvo to me.

I will wait untill I am able to sit in one though, I was pleasently surprised at the auto show. Many cars that didn't look that great in pictures looked much better in person.

I don't think you can make a hard decision without first seeing for yourself.

I'm sure the C6 is going to be awesome, you just can't judge a book by it's cover.

It reminds me when my wife and I looked at a Caddy with the Nav and then one without it and the interior sorta screemed it needed the Nav. I have the same feeling looking at this pic. That center stack seems dated and boring.

:iagree: but look at one with the nav system in a few years and it will be ugly as sin. Remember when GM had that "really cool" dash in the early C4's and how ridiculous they look now? Same for the nav system. :U

I still don't think that interior is even close to "the standard" when you consider what some companies are doing with their $30k cars. On the other hand, the interior has very little to do with my desire to own a Vette. The bottom line on this interior is that it's adequate from a styling perspective. That's probably enough for a car like a Corvette.

I agree with both points. "Dash layout" is very low priority for me when considering a sports car. I think the flack from the C6 is due to hopeful thinking... where expectations were not completely met.

I get more positive comments about the "really cool" dash from passengers at night than I do anything else in my '87.

There are several other threads on this topic, and there are much better pictures available with better resolution and the all-aluminum radio / HVAC stack. The all-aluminum look is much better.

GM certainly tried to go Euro on this. I am extremely hopeful that this will look better in person. This does need to be functional as well as stylish to fit the Corvette tradition. With the NAV it is a good looking design in all photos I've seen although I'm not sure there's more than one out there. This stack looks like it will be functional enough, but it couold have a little more style.

The instrument cluster looks to be the same layout as the C5s with just some aluminum bezels. The Piece around the steering column looks straight from the C5.
