Re: LA Auto Show pics! (FNC80)
Nice pics Alex!
The C6 truly is a wonderful car and a worthy successor to the C5. It looks awesome in real life, pictures cannot do justice to it. I still like the C5 though, but there are aspects of the C6 that I like too.
It was a good way to spend the day. Nice running into some of the guys in the forum. I could not find the Corvette Corral for the life of me, circled the Convention Center three times but no luck.
I like this Orange color on the C6. I noticed that the C6 is lower than the C5 too as seen in the gap between the fender well and the wheels.

Re: LA Auto Show pics! (Cricket)
Observations:
1. The door doesn't have a handle on the outside. It's a membrane that electronically releases the latch when pressed.
2. The targa top is stored level and up on high, allowing 2 golf bags to be stored below it.
3. The hood is noticeable smaller.
4. The center console is a light brushed aluminum. The interior is three colors...dark grey on the top, matching the seat color (at least on this sample) on the bottom, and the aluminum-look console.
5. The rear hatch makes the exact same clunk sound when slammed shut.

Re: LA Auto Show pics! (clem zahrobsky)
Nice pix Alex!
I'm starting to like that orange color. Not sure about the console though. That brushed aluminium look on the center console looks kind of strange. I guess I'll wait until saturday when I see it in person. I like how the targa top sits in the back. Seems to be more usable space when the top is out.
I like the aluminium guage bezels....gee...just like my car!

Re: LA Auto Show pics! (FNC80)
We could only wish that it came with Corsa Indies
The color of the console looks much more aluminumy than any of the official pics
Great pictures, thanks

Re: LA Auto Show pics! (FNC80)
Alex, I agree with many of your first impressions (emailed earlier) such as the Viper like front end, plain-Jane cockpit, and the RX8 rear end. The backup lights might look better on an Oldsmobile. The Malibu steering wheel is a nice touch (nice comment Mike). Generally, the side shot I like what I see. The nose shot looks like GM borrowed too much from the Viper and it is grinning. The rear end looks like it was designed by a committee that couldn't decide how to modify the C5 rear end. I don’t care for the hard lines on the finders and hood and much prefer the softer lines of the C5.
I might not be purchasing a C6 as originally planned.
So folks think it looks better in person huh? I guess I will have to try to get down to the show and have a look. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks, Alex! Great pics, bud!
Question: The paint quality initially looks good. Can you give us your impression of the paint quality and the amount of orange peel compared to our C5's less than stellar paint? I realize the car in the pics is a prepped car for show but maybe you got some insights from seeing it in person and talking to those in the know there.
Thanks.
