Default C6 heads backwards compatible with C5?

I hear these heads are supposed to flow like nobodies business.

I'm wondering if they will be backwards compatible with the C5....

I doubt it...but...wouldn't that be cool :D

The LS2 has a 4" bore, but the LS1 is a 3.9" bore, so I don't think you could swap them.

It's also possible that the reason that the LS2 heads flow better is *because* they have a 4" bore. In any case, I don't think they'd flow better than ported LS1 or LS6 heads, especially if all are compared on the same bore size.

What I'm hoping for is for the LS2 block to be compatible with C5s. If you could get a LS2 block for around $600 (the same price as a 6.0l truck iron block), and then got an Eagle 4" crank for $800, rods for around $500, Diamond pistons for another $500, you'd have an all-aluminum 402ci short block for $2400. :D

Why would the LS2 aluminum block be the same price as an iron block? If you want to compare prices, find the price of an LS1/6 block, it'll problably be somewhere around there.
