There's no question you can tell them apart, but is also true, especially at distance, you will have to look twice. Regardless of which side of this argument you fall on, we are not used to other cars and the Corvette looking this much alike.

BUT... The C6 is a stunningly pretty, and I wouldn't change it. In fact, if anything, the Viper does't come off so good in a comparison. And obviously, the Viper changed the most. Lots of Viper fans are really upset.

Still, they are generally similar.

If you look at Corvettes dating back to the C3's, the new Corvette more closely resembles those combined with some C5. Saying it looks like a Viper is absurd, especially seeing that the Viper may have gotten inspiration from older Vettes.

If you ask me the Viper is the one that toned down its look and went for more of the vette type styling.

Yes, to clarify so I don't get confused.. In my earlier comments, I meant them in the context that the C6 is right on with it's look, and consistent with it's history. Its the Viper that has shifted its look.

But the C6 is by far the better design, much better detailing and more complete; nonetheless, the Viper looks a lot like it, especially in a quick glance, like when moving on the street. I'm not used to other cars looking like a Corvette. But as the Corvette becomes more complete, and more accepted in the mainstream as a quality product, I guess we should expect some similar designs. It is flattering.

The C6 design is basically a C5 with modern lights and heritiage styling cues.

It's the new Viper that conformed it's look to that of a Honda S2000.

It reminds me more of the front of a Callaway Speedster than a viper!!!!!!!!
Just with sharper lines than all rounded.

Try looking at the Viper some time and notice how it copied the C3. Even the C3's door handles are on the new Viper.
