I'm sure this is a dupe, but I saw this on an email I received from Chevrolet.

I remember back in 1963 (yes 40 years ago) that it was a big deal to see a full size Chevy and notice that it had the magic "Crossed Flags". That meant it had the big engine back then. :cool: Regular V8's only had the small "V".

I thought so too, but then I guess that GM can claim that they DO cross "somewhat".....go figure

They are, the red is in front of the checkered. As stated previously the C4 wasn't.

Right, but GM fixed that with the C5 emblem! They get something right and then mess it up again! :jester

63/64 emblem wasn't crossed , 80/81 emblems weren't crossed. 84-90 emblem wasn't crossed... 91-96 emblem wasn't crossed...

Okay, well for 33 years out of 50, the emblem has had crossed flags. The emblem is more well known with crossed flags than without.

Hey, your pullin my leg right? I have seen some members with just over 100 posts and they have an avatar, when can I get one :sad:
Anyone can get an avatar just by going to your profile, looking for the avatar link, and choosing one.

It's just that you can't have a "custom" one until your special , I guess... :crazy:
