There are still a lot of people that really like their C5s. The new change will take time. We still haven't seen the C6 on the road yet. I still think I will like the C6, after all it will be the latest and greatest "Corvette" has to offer.

As an alternative, maybe you should suggest GM get a clue. People tend not to buy a product they don't like.

Let's rephrase the latter part of your suggestion. Instead of recommending those members you're referring to buy something other than a GM product, how about recommending they just buy something other than the C6 Corvette. That would leave the door open to purchasing another Corvette, albeit a C1-C5 in addition to other brands/models that they like better than what's been presented here so far. :cheers:

Usually when you buy something that is the best and something better comes out you feel ripped off. :confused:

I agree with some others that this will once again be the best corvette ever produced. I want to see how the 2005 Z06 stacks up against the Ford GT. :cheers:

I too get kinda pissed over some of the whiners here, GM gives you a nice comfy, sophisticated, c6 thats 95 % of the 04 z06, and you get whiners complaining that its not enough HP! Its a laugh! If your so pissed just save your money and buy a c6 z06, its gonna be a slayer!

I remember that too. What's funny is, being a C4 and C5 owner, I'm not in any great hurry to get into a C6. It looks awesome, I'm sure it's a fantastic car, but gosh darn it, my vettes are paid for and my 1 year old twins are consuming all of my carguy time these days. :lol:

Actually, they do need to listen. While they've done a lot of things right, they've also released crap like the Azztek. There's nothing wrong with criticism (or bashing as you call it). So, whether GM decides to act on it or not is up to them but if you don't speak up and nothing changes then you can't complain later.

GM's also losing market share. All of you baby-boomers (the majority of vette owners) are entering your golden years. The gen-x crowd was mostly raised on imports. Guess who the future owners of Corvettes are gonna be...?

Companies like GM pay big bucks for research. They're getting it for free here. I don't see what the issue is.

The issue is Bashing, negative negative that is not constructive. One must have some positive input to this and there hasn't been any that I see. Just a lot of armchair quarter backs that are trying to show off their egos. Most on here spend more time bragging on how much they know and frankly it gets a little tiring. I drive an average of 50K per year and the car is frikking awesome and I see NOTHING wrong with it as compared to anything else on the market. I'm not at all impressed with the imports, most of the countries represented can't even get a phone system to work let alone a car. Call me a red neck but this country isn't at all bad with making a car that everyone has a chance to buy.

I too am guilty of being overly critical, so to be fair, I gave the C6 photos a second look (well, actually more like 137th, or so, look).

You know what? Upon closer examination, I actually do like the caps on the tire air valve stems.

bottom line is everyone is allowed their opinion and are still allowed to love vettes.

There are previous generations (I won't say which to avoid digressing) which I don't care for as much. I like much of what I've seen of the C6 but do not like the steering wheel (from what I've seen) and do not like the grill. I will still likely buy one when I can afford it, and wouldn't expect anyone to shove it down my throat because I voiced an opinion about it.
