Never cared for the look of the C5 coupe. The C6 coupes rear hatch "mid-year" style looks great!
Disappointed the C5 Z51 did not have upgraded brakes. Now the C6 Z51 will not only have better brakes but wider tires than FE1s!
Cant wait to get a Z51 coupe :)

Rear of car is too tall and narrow, thats why the exhaust section has a black surround to disguise the height of the rear end.
aperture for rear registration plate too large, odd shape
door handles a bit odd
hood needs a bit more detail
the car looks less mean, and more fragile than previous vettes. :(

Just realized why the indentation around the rear license plate is so funky shaped. It so European plates (which are much wider then ours) will fit! Still look funny.

It's a nice looking car but to be candid, I really love my C-5 and don't see anything there that would make me want to trade-over (not up!!!). At this point, I'll trade my '00 coupe for an '03 vert in a year of two.

Maybe after I see it in person my opinion will change.

As others have said...when you trade in your C5s to buy one of these, I'll be there to pick up your old car :yesnod:

The c5 is definately not ugly, but as in c4 to c5, the c6 makes the c5 just look old. At 1st look, I didn't relly like the front of the 6, but the more I see, the more I like. The c5 was similar. The party I think is funny, I always liked the back of the c5 and now the c6, and no one else seems to like it. The simplicity, the 4 large circles, no colored turn signals, it's one of the car's trademarks.

After seeing it at the LA show I sum it up as a "mixed bag." I see a lot of viper influence and styling for the euro market. Also I wonder how dated the edgy lines will look in a few years. The use of cheap grey/black plastic was a mistake. It should have been carbon fiber. The interior is not a sports car enough, too much Cadillac here. Drivetrain and suspension appear to be excellent. Exhaust looks a bit funky. Drilled rotors are gimmicky and do not add to performance. Tires are still EMT and the tread cannot compare to the GS-D3 tires. I think GM fell short on this car (ran out of time and money).

Front end looks like a Viper and overall the car is not that much different from my C5.

This post sums up the C6's "problems" very well. The interior isn't right for a Vette, the overall styling is too generic and the front and rear clips are complete mistakes. Other than that, I love it. :banghead: :chevy

Get rid of the European outer body style and put a American muscle car body on. The rest is fine. :flag

The C5 looks nice, no need for major changes. I think they did a good job. Up the peformance, refine the looks, its evolution. The C7....That will be the car with all the really BIG changes. I can't wait.
