My C5 next to the C6!!
Thought you would all like to see just how the C5 looks at approx. the same angle as islandhopper's C6 photo (rear wheel/tire placement adjusted to correct for tie-down):
(Sorry, it was really cold outside today and my wheels, tires, and lower half of my Vette are dirty.)
(Click images for a larger view.)
The second image is a composite I did. C5 looks a little shorter in length and possibly just a little in height. This could be due to a slight difference in camera variables. However, you can see the wider wheelbase in the C6 compared to the C5. You can also see that the rear fascia has a slightly shorter overhang than the C5, although the rear half of the C6 itself is about the same length from the door as the C5. The windshield isn't as raked as the C5. Again, this could be due to camera variables, but I've heard this is the case with the C6. That's apparent in the composite. Note that the side mirror and door are aligned almost perfectly in this image.
Enjoy!

Hey Keith, nice job. That really looks cool with that side-by-side comparison.
You can really notice the subtle differences that way...pretty cool.

nicely done, although I think the scale is off. The pic of your C5 is smaller than the C6. The C6 is going to be shorter than the C5 and doesn't appear so in your pic.
Man I love the C6!

I'm not so sure about the scale being off though, unless they changed the lug configuration specs for the C6. The lugs on my rear C5 wheel match up perfectly to the rear lugs in the C6 shot. Also, the diameter of my rear 18" wheel matches the diameter of the C6's front wheel in the above pictures.

Thanks for the comparison! The C6 is definitely "evolutionary" and very sharp looking. I still love the aero lines of the C5... I think it will age very gracefully.

The other thread is locked at my request. Originally, the other one was my only thread about this topic in this section. This thread was in C5 General, but MG moved it into this section.

Re: My C5 next to the C6!! (Belloc)
this comparison pics show the front and rear wheels lining up. But it's been factually stated by GM that the C6 wheelbase will be longer, but the overhangs will be shorter.

Re: My C5 next to the C6!! (kewlbrz)
True. In my original composite image, you can clearly see that the C6 wheelbase is wider than my C5. I think Belloc altered the scale of one or the other when doing his analysis in order to match the wheels together which as you mentioned is not consistent with the facts.
