Hey Ken - Once you have it, would you be so kind as to post the invoice auto and option costs like you did for the C5. That was Tremendous!!

I'd bet the C6 Corvette engineering team probably fought the C6 marketing team not to put those "F1 inspired" controls on the wheel.

No offense, but you are just flat out wrong if you think it's a marketing gimmick. The only reason it's left out is to save a buck. When the vette finally gets some sort of sequential manual, where do you think the paddles or buttons will go?

You're worried about hitting audio buttons accidentally in a spin?

Do you find yourself hitting the horn a lot during races? Maybe you're just not that coordinated?

Do you realize F1 drivers spin out too? Quicker steering ratio or not they still have to deal with the multitude of buttons on the wheel, no?

Since the buttons are usually on the spokes are you telling me you need a levitating wheel with no spokes?

Will you not listen to people with buttons on the wheel that have autocrossed and/or roadraced and say that it is not a problem?

Look at the XLR's wheel with the controls.
Think about how silly your comments are.

The issue is having to remove your hands from the wheel. Maximum lock to lock on an F1 car is 3/4 of a turn. You don't have to remove your hands from the wheel to turn lock to lock. You don't have that kind of ratio on a road car. Tight maneuvers require you to reposition your hands on the wheel.

I'd like to see it, but I doubt there is anyone who regularly races autocrosses an XLR or like vehicle, I've certainly never seen one at any SCCA event.

Sweet.......makes me consider holding off on some mods, waiting a couple years, selling mine and picking up a C6 once the prices start to decline like they did for the c5.

:skep: Yeah, but that feature doesn't say "NEW!" so I'm not sure if it's just a different description of the old stick.

Makes me consider throwing on a supercharger, because I'm afraid I'll have to wait a LONG time to afford a $$loaded$$ used C6. :cry
