It has its good and bad points... but the saddest thing is most Corvette lovers will want it no matter how it looks! Only reason comes down to owning the newest Vette. No flames needed but it looks like a C5 and the new XLR Caddy had an affair... the sharp-edged C5... oops I mean C6 is what popped out! :lol:

As a C4 owner I criticized the C5 for 4 years. Then I drove one. Sold the 96 vert and love the C5. But I want a better interior; more factory HP and I hope GM fixed all the little nagging problems with the C5 like the rocking seat and column lock.

I love the new look and will have one as soon as practical.

I like the red one a lot more than I thought I would, based on the earlier spy shots.

I'm glad it isn't so "radically" different than the C5 as make the C5 look dated. I won't be in line for a $20K over sticker first-year model though.

Maybe in a few years I'll think about selling my C5 vert, but I really like my car enough not to want to trade anytime soon.

Besides, I need to absorb the full benefit of that 60 month 0% loan!

The sharp edges on the sides don't go with the Dodge Neon frontend.

I really need a closer look. From what I know the Z06/FRC will not be ready until 2005. It looks more Pininfarina (read Ferrari) than the C5. That's a good thing. Starting to get that exotic supercar look. :flag
I don't know how much the Ford GT influenced the decisions, but the Ford is one badass car, but it will cost $150,000, and will only be a couple of tenths faster than a C5 Z06. I will spend my $$$ on the 'Vette and mod it out before buying a Phord anyday. :chevy
Also, I wonder if the rear brake cooling ducts will carry forward on the Z06. The new doors don't leave much room. Maybe they will downsize them or leave them off alltogether. Hmmmm...anybody know what the HP/TQ numbers will be for the C5 (or Z06 for that matter)? :)

Whoever came up with that side cove design should go back to designing Aztecs. It looks so out of place and unproportinal to the rest of the car's styling.

to be honest with u, i didnt like it until i saw the red one at the bottom.

seems like they are going back to the less rounded look just like they did with the C4

i like it a lot but i think i'm keeping my c5 for a REALLY long time. my 4 year relationship with her wont end that easy

GM will most likely fix the issues that currently plauge the C5, but I'm sure the C6 will have a whole new list of problems to contend with.
