That Audi interior reminds me of a roller coaster.
As in "tacky plastic, exposed metal, and fiberglass."
And as in "gives me a queasy feeling after sixty seconds inside it."

I don't like that interior at all. The only thing I like are the brushed aluminum accents, but I don't like the placement. I think the Audi TT's interior is the best one of all the sport coupes on the market.

I like the laid back sloped look of the NSX's interior. The VW's interior doesn't look good IMO and the Audi's interior is a bit much for my tastes. I personally dig Maserati's interior

You can have all that chrome. Simply put, I love the very black look and feel of my '04. Infact I have my Music Kegs controls hidden because it is polished silver. Volvos last model year started going with the brushed chrome look and I am thankful my '00 S80 doesn't have it. Makes the car look cheap and not as refined. I expect this brushed chrome fad to die in five years when people start seeing how to fails to hold up over time.

Been using my '87 with black / graffite interior as a driver for 16 years- 120k miles. I find that I look forward to getting into the Oyster interior '79 - brighter somewhat invigorating.

Re: GM please don't let a VW beat you (Low Flight)
Personally I don't see anything appealing in that interior at all. I'd rather have the jet fighter like cockpit feel and driver/passenger separation of the 1990-1996 C4, the , steering wheel, black lighted gauges and HUD of the C5, an in dash GPS display such as in a Lexus although serving as a MFD for GPS, Audio, environmental and systems information. and some really nice, high quality leather, wrap around, racing style bucket seats with sport seat adjustability. I don't want cheap plastic, carbon fiber might be ok, but I don't think I'd want brushed aluminum either. I do hope that they will do some good acoustic insulation from the factory. A little more room in the glovebox and console might be nice too.

This is one of the best-designed, best-looking interiors I've ever seen that wasn't a custom job.

Here another look on the Audi TT interior:
What I find awesome is also their color schemes, they have this blue leather that would look really cool on the electron blue or black exterior paint. GM please provide more choices of interior colors, like red, black, grey, blue, yellow and tan.

Man, all I could find was that one with the ugly seat color. That's more like what I was looking for. :yesnod:

Yeah, go sit down in one of those puppies and tell me if you think it still looks cheap. I thought the same until I did.

I remember reading that the designer (Freeman Thomas I think) was inspired by a baseball glove for the interior. I kind of like it on the TT - it kind of goes with the car. It wouldn't work on a Vette or NSX however.

Re: GM please don't let a VW beat you (74_LS-4)
I'm not saying the interior should look like a Audi TT or a VW GTI, I'm saying it should be done with as much detail & craftmanship. Something GM has lacked in their interiors for decades. (Except fo maybe Cadillac)
