Lights that low won't meet crash bumper standards.

I'd call it a C5.01, because it's 99% C5.

Looks good, though.

I see. The car is virtually unchanged except for adding about two vertical inches to the bumper lights and you :U ? That says something about your enthusiasm for the car.

Isn't that kinda like kicking Cindy Crawford out of bed because she has a mole on her face?

To quote Sam Kinnison, 'UH! AWWWWWWWWWWWW!"

Yes, it isn't changed much, but those lights are that foggy plastic...remember the headlight covers from the early 90's? and what you did change just doesn't look right. You post a C5.9999999999 and then counter peoples comments by saying yourself that it's virtually unchanged? Makes a lot of sense

My thoughts were on cost effective evolution that keeps the price from rising. I said "virtually unchanged" because the full glass lights in the bumper are only 1 of 12 visually noticeable and purposeful changes I made. If you look a little more closely, you’ll find the other 11:

2) Full ring of metal encircling the rims where the 5 pairs of spokes meet to ad stiffness that reduces flexing and provides even higher cornering force.
3) The top side of the body opening behind the front wheel well from which the BSM originates is higher to induce a slightly larger lamellar layer of air flow inset from the leading body panel for better aerodynamics.
4) Rear side marker is larger for better visibility/safety and matches the larger front side markers better.
5) Antenna removed so that the car can better join the 21st century of aerodynamics.
6) Higher rear deck to increase down force slightly to stabilize the rear tires, hence the car, at 190 MPH.
7) Longer rear pillar, almost a fast-back, housing a longer rear window to reduce turbulence and reduce rear lift at speed.
8) Rear wheel well is taller to balance better visually with the front wheel well.
9) Rounder, more aerodynamic side mirrors with a more raked and leaner supports.
10) Body-colored front roof pillars, instead of black, for better visual integration of the body.
11) Lower door panels for a leaner, more curvaceous and sexy torso, which also provides a better view to the sides.
12) No retracting or fixed lights for a slightly lower center of gravity, plus reduced weight and cost.

There are also 4 other non-visual changes:

1) One was already done in the original: the car is 1 ¼ inches lower – now straight from the factory, for a lower center of gravity providing more aggressive handling.
2) Fixed weather stripping seal so that hand-applied tar is no longer needed in the upper rear corners of the doors where the corner of the glass comes to rest shut.
3) The Cd is now .28, just like the C5 coupe, resulting in reduced wind noise, higher top speeds, and higher fuel economy.
4) With a dry sump, the cylinders and strokes have been extended 0.4 inch resulting in 427 C.I.D. producing 490 hp and 470 lb-ft torque.

Non visual changes huh? They don't quite count as changes when you don't actually do anything

Dude, I think it looks great, especially the front roof pillars.

Subtle is always cool.

not quite on topic, but i have an interesting image of some of the c5 protoypes, and their damn ugly, just to show that if you see ugly c6 images, i wouldn't worry a lot about the end product, GM will pull it off.
i can't post them but if someone wants me to email them, just post your email adress
