I don't do FB, but how about Craigslist? Great exposure. You are just as likely to get murdered by a FB post as CL, so I don't see the risk being much greater.
You need to take the car (OK, tow it) to an independent shop who can repair it for you and get it running for a heck of a lot less than the dealer. If you don't have the money to do that, I understand, then you have no choice but to sell it "as is" non-running, and probably closer to $5K than $8K. Unfortunately.
Many of us here are stating "non-running" here, but is that accurate? Will it start and drive now, even with water spewing out of the radiator? If so, then $8K is probably low, and properly advertised should move quickly. BTW, your pictures in that other ad are great...
Another idea is to find an independent shop with a open-minded owner/manager who will take the car, fix it, get it cleaned-up and running good and sell it for you, splitting the profit. Or perhaps call Mike Brewer, maybe he's looking for a project (if he's still in LA).

I wonder if the engine was damaged from the loss of radiator fluid. What if the driver tried to limp the car home and ran out of luck? That is always the question with such a failure. This is why the owner should get the radiator repaired properly to eliminate any such concern to prospective buyers. Because the seller is not getting the car repaired before the sale, it does leave me to wonder if there are other more serious underlying issues.
A dealer is going to be your most expensive repair center. I like the idea of a body shop estimate.

Isn’t California home to all the speed shops and small shop mechanics. I would post a FB request to get the car fixed. There has to be dozens of places besides dealerships that would jump all over this.

Someone said $8000 but I can't find where the OP said $8000. Is that really the price? For that money I'll go get...if nobody tells my wife

Unfortunately, I need to let my current vette go very quickly and at a discount but not totally give it away. $8k would be a good offer. What would be the best place to do this? I doubt Car Max or Carvann will work. Maybe something like Du Pont Registry? I have only a minor issue with a broken radiator frame and punctured radiator hoses. I bought those parts, but it's too much for me to install. The car runs and just leaks a little in those two areas. I got a $ 4000 quote from Chevrolet to get it fixed, and it was more than I wanted to spend. I tried to sell here on the form a long while back. The car has been sitting in the garage since. There are no pictures of the radiator frame damage. I took the car to the dealership for an assessment and was told the radiator frame broke and punctured the radiator hoses.
Looking under the car, it's too hard to tell what the issue is exactly. I'm taking the dealership's word. They've done me pretty well most of these years. Just always expensive.
