Buying my first vette
Hi everyone, looking to purchase my first corvette which is a C6 GS, love these cars, found one and I’m trying to get a 2nd opinion from forum members that have more knowledge about the car and todays market prices, it’s a 2011 2LT coupe auto with 40k miles, gentleman agreed to 31k for it and I just wanted to see if I’m getting a good deal? What do you guys think? any help would be appreciated…

How can the forum answer that without more info? Condition and history?
Is it a 7-owner salvage flood car......is it a one owner garage kept beauty with all service records....or something in between?

Seems like a great price but like already said as long as it hasn’t been banged up and abused.

He’s 2nd owner, clean title, garage kept and well maintained, sorry didn’t include that.

I would pick it up before someone else does. There’s base cars in that price range.

Yes, yes, yes! Get it now and don’t delay if it’s what you want. I got a 2013 GS last August and still get mailings about GSs. For this year and this mileage, as long as it is mechanically sound, clean, and a no-hit or flood car, that is a GREAT price, IMO. When you get her, please post some pictures! Very exciting!

Take it to a good shop for a pre-purchase inspection. Do NOT rush in and buy it because you've got the fever. Many of us have been there and regretted it.
And if you're old enough to remember David Horowitz "If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is."
BTW, every Corvette for sale is garage kept never been driven in the rain or snow. And has always been maintained by the dealer at every interval.

No the car looks super clean, the only thing I’m not super in love with is the color which is crystal red, looks good in the sun but when it’s cloudy not so much lol…am I being too picky?

If you're only gonna spend about that much money, that's by far the most car for the money you'll find. That car is priced like an older non GS. If you're willing to spend 40 plus grand, then absolutely go buy the exact apec you want.
It boils down to budget. It's way cheaper to bust your budget for the right car than to get a deal.on the wrong car, in my experience.

Pay for a current CarFax report, test drive, test all electronics, check all fluids, look under the car at least by laying on your stomach to check for oil & fluid drips (coming from motor), AND look at the DOT #s on the tire side walls. Many Vette owners have dangerously old tires with decent tread left. Show us some photos!

With over 200 Corvette for sale you've got to learn basics in car searching knowledge to buy one Or find someone to help you.... Don't do this thing on your own! You'll screw it up.

I think that's a very good price for a GS, low mileage and well kept. I paid $28K for my 08 base, however it's a Z51 4LT convertible manual trans (basically the most optioned base you can get), which is a rare combination, it also had 36K and 2 previous owners.
