At 26k miles, would the breaks need replacing? I guess that depends also on how hard they were driven.

The head lights also have the factory tint option. I don't see that often.

The Corvette factory race team is Yellow and has been for how long....This is my YELLOW 2012 Grand Sport, looks like S@#T right ?????....I should just throw a match to it eh ????

Yellow was on my "Favorite" list, though not at the top. It really is an attractive color to me.

If it checks the boxes, go for it. One thing to look at is the 3lt dash issue, check for bubbling & separation around the air bag, this is a major issue with the 3lt cars & still is even with the C8, check closely, this can be a 4K repair to fix this issue, other than that looks good, lots of fun left in that car & if the auto trans is your choice, the A6 trans is about bullet proof. If you buy, I would service all the fluids, brakes, trans etc.

Yellow is terrible! Who actually wants yellow?!?!

PS: Can you sense my sarcasm? I was one told it takes a certain kind of man to drive a yellow car. My vette isn’t my first yellow car, so not sure what that says about me?
Those wheels are the best looking C6 wheels in my opinion

I always saw it as "it takes a certain kind of car to look good in yellow"...the C6 GS and Z06 do it perfectly. How many other cars worldwide in the history of automobiles look sharp/snazzy rock in yellow ? There are some for sure, but I rarely see a yellow car at all (sports, muscle...etc) , i wanted something different and this car did it for me immediately and looks fantastic. I get compliments every time i take it out.

Not a bad price and looks to be in good condition. I bought my 12 GS vert last fall, the only maintenance record was on the carfax report. It also had 4 previous owners, 32,000 miles. If it checks out and is what you want go for it. The LS3 is pretty bulletproof (except for the HB)

I think you mean the 4LT leather dash has issues. I have the 3LT and no issues.

Then all C6 dashes would have issues, correct? I thought the 1LT, 2LT, & 3LT dash were all the same.

Only the 4LT (Z06 is 3LZ, ZR1 is 3ZR) has the leather wrap that's prone to bubble and/or peel. My ZR1 3ZR had minor bubbles, but thankfully the Grand Sport is near perfect other than very minor separation near the windshield in a couple of spots. He may have been referring to other issues not related to the leather dash. Bottom line, every C6 will have some problem or another at some point. It's just the nature of the beast.

Thanks for all the info and advice. I have a mechanic friend checking out the car on Monday. Over 30 years as a master mechanic so he knows his stuff.

Really hard to find a GS hardtop with 3LT, auto trans, mag ride and NPP, with low miles. Mag ride being the hardest to find option.

Interesting note. All C6's that were raced by GM at Nurburgring had mag ride.

This is exactly what i did - had the factory brakes and that little squeak - had the PowerStop Z26 Road Warriors installed.

Buy the car! I have the close twin and have done several mods. I love this C6!

That said, I've owned six Corvettes, four of them C6s, and not one of them had the 2012-13 seats. I wouldn't base my purchasing decision on seats alone since prior years have worked just fine.
Good advice! Thank you.

That's a nice looking 2012 GS . Good color choice , too . In my looking around the price seems about on the money for the year , 3LT and mileage . I wouldn't be concerned about the number of owners . I like the calipers done to match . Excellent example of a C6- hope the mechanics check out !

Just a follow-up to this, I pulled the brakes off the Grand Sport today, and it turns out it was was more than just "squeak". They were getting close to needing replacement anyway. The lips on the front rotors were so tall we had to use a mallet to get the calipers off. The back brakes didn't look much better.

Here's what 39K miles looks like on a street driven Grand Sport (front padlets):

Your padlets wore beautifully, nice and even. Because they still had some of that bevelled edging, you could have gotten more use, but I understand your reasoning for doing a brake job sooner.

Thanks for sharing!

You're right in that I probably could have gotten another (annoying) 2K miles out of them at least.

The amount of dust and crud, though. Yikes. I actually disconnected the calipers completely and gave them a Simple Green bath.
