It is true..and has been proven over and over...sure there are some buyers want the 3lt but prices are about the same.... might be a couple hundred bucks if that...
edit for a 2005 white z51 auto coupe in very good condition with 60k miles is worth 16, 328....same car standard 16,203

That's fair, there's definitely positives to it. If you just want it sold and gone, it's not a bad option. But they're trying to push everyone into no reserve auctions now because they make their money regardless of if there's enough actual buyers for that vehicle to sell at full price.

A lot of buyers consider 3LT the minimum trim of entry. I wouldn't buy a 1 or 2LT. They're just not worth it for me.
When I shopped for a GS Convertible, it had to have 3LT, no compromise. I noticed the 1LT and 2LT were priced nearly the same. I also noticed that the Mag Ride and Dual Mode Exhaust were treated similarly as the #LT. Given that I wanted it all, I breezed right over every 1LT and 2LT, and ones that lacked other important-to-me options.
One thing certain, my wife insisted on heated seats in a Corvette convertible, so 3LT was an absolute.
I don't understand why any Corvette convertible would be made without heated seats. Those two features naturally go so well together in nearly every part of the USA. Heated seats keep the top-down a lot longer as evening approaches and temperatures drop. That is a "No Brainer." Come to think about it, the same would apply to the removable roof coupe.

Its only a few people here think options matter on older cars... Having purchased more than 50 I can say for sure the first owner pays for the options and most everyone else gets them free on older cars....
But we can agree to disagree...its all good....

I had 1 C6 that was a base suspension. Hated it. Z51 all the way. Big difference in cornering and overall handling. At least to me there was/is. I'd never buy a base suspension again.
