The GM DOT 4 Delco fluid will be just fine, no need to change brands after a full flush.

I use Dot 4 Valvoline full synthetic. Inexpensive and it's good fluid.

Same. It's even suitable for track use when fresh. Good stuff at a good price.

Question... doesn't the C6 use DOT 3

I'd research this forum more before moving to DOT 4.

FWIW Not from an auto parts store like Napa or O'Reilly's, but FORD high performance brake fluid has good boiling points and price.

DOT3 and 4 are compatible. You're thinking about DOT 5 that you have to be worried about.

its all about that DOT 5.1, which is compatible with 3 and 4. DOT 5 is a no go as stated above

Like many products nowadays, there are probably only a few manufacture's that actually make the product, and are then are rebranded.
For street use, I'd use any name brand product that is readilly availible and decently priced. I'm not sure if any china crap is imported or not, but hopefully, it would be marked on the container, so as to avoid.

I'd recommend buying the GM fluids. My concern is that the brands that sell to the local auto stores are aware that their fluids are going into older cars. Therefore they may be adding components targeted to stopping leaks, etc. I remember when the forum had a contributor who was an experienced Saginaw Brake and Steering engineer, he was particularly disdainful of anything other than GM power steering fluid. He spoke of all of the work and research that went into formulating GM power steering fluid. I'd think the best bet would be to add brake fluid that was identical to that that came from the factory. Just my opinion.

Dot 4 is fully compatible with Dot 3 and has higher temperature rating. Dot 5.1 is another step up in temperature and also longer life. That's why I use BOSCH ESI6-32N. Look it up.

Dry Boiling Point Composition
DOT 3 205°C/401°F Glycol Ether
DOT 4 230°C/446°F Glycol Ether/Borate Ester
DOT 5 260°C/500°F Silicone DO NOT USE
DOT 5.1 260°C/500°F Glycol Ether/Borate Ester
