It arrived!
Some of you have followed my ordeal at the dealership. But it finally arrived in one piece….barely. The transport trailer lost a wheel (caught fire and fell off). Luckily the car was the lead car sitting front of the wheels. Then backing it off the ramps…the idiot about dropped a rear wheel. Had to tell him to stop and try again. BUT….its home safe and in excellent condition.

Congratulations on picking a great car in the best color. Not sure what kind of experience you have with maintaining black paint, but it can be tedious. Of all the the pics I have of my car, my favorite is when I went to look at it at the dealership 2 years ago and the next day when I picked it up. 11k miles and bone stock. She is stock no more.

nope. It's an 07 I purchased New year's eve 2021. A guy in his 70s traded it in for a C7. Car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Currently stored and waiting out an Iowa winter. 4 months until she's back out. The wife hates the winter because it's referred to as modification season by me.

Very nice. I've owned three black Corvettes (including one just like yours, our 2006 Z51 coupe), and all of them were like a full time job keeping them scratch and dirt free. Zaino was my best friend back then. After I paint corrected my 2008 Z06 (black), I bought a water conditioner, real sea sponges, a lamb's wool duster, and a dog grooming blow dryer. The fewer things that touched the paint surface, the better. Car looked fantastic up to the day I sold it.
