If you had to spend 8 hours...
...in a Corvette and still feel good at the end of the trip on a typical US Interstate, what year C6 would you pick?
I am talking about ride harshness, noise, and seat comfort. I am 6 and 200 pounds.
I would appreciate your comments. I am planning to buy one and I am hesitating between 2010 - 2013, base models, verts and coupes.
I didn't fit in a C7 so it's out.
Thanks in advance...
Rich

The newest I could afford.
They are all great riding vehicles, for a low sports car. I've done multiple 8 plus hour trips and they were great. Even has the space for the girl to do her part and play with the stick.
I'm partial to grand sports, but they're all great.
That said, age plays a part. Me in my 20s when I bought mine vs someone in the 70s is gonna have a different tolerance for ride quality. FWIW, I'm 6'2 and ~200lbs and have no space issues

You didn't say your age. If you're older like me, start or continue doing your squats.
I'm 80 and 6ft.@175 lbs. and fit fine. It does get tougher getting in and out as we age.
Your butt is below your knees when entering and exiting Exiting being harder, so keep the legs in shape.
Good luck and happy hunting.

I am 6'2" and 230lbs. Drove my 2013 Grand Sport from Dallas to Santa Fe, NM round trip with no over night stops each way. I was very surprised with how comfortable the seat & seating position was for the trip.
I might add that I also have a generous portion of leg-length to deal with.

Go with a Grand Sport C6 -- lovely fit for us taller bigger guys ( I am 6'3" at 212 lbs ). My Grand Sports are a 2012 and also a 2013 -- good seats were used in the 12 and 13s - I have driven long hours in the seat of these two M6 beauties. Bought the Black 2013 in Milwaukee and drove it to Seattle.. Bought the Torch Red 2012 in Kansas and also drove it to Seattle - Girlfriend along on both of those pick up trips -- she loved the ride also. I drive them almost every day of the week.
I echo the comment about the small C7 - I got in one and could not stand it for 5 minutes - felt like a sardine can with the lid closing.

Seats are very comfortable
I have a 2007 Base, and I redid the seat cushions, and new leather, and they are very comfortable. The car is lowered, and at nearly 75 years old I made the decision to install vertical doors which help a great deal getting in and out. I'm 5'9" and 225......with a 35" waist......I have a broad chest and the C7 is definitely smaller inside than my C6.

But since you said base models, verts. and coupes I'm thinking you want a "narrow" body. If so, why limit yourself to 2010 and up? You could go 2008 - 2013 for the LS3. Lot's of people say there's not a big difference between the LS2 and LS3. Again, going by what many on here have said, avoid 2005, but other than that 2006 and up are all good.
You could also look for cars with the magnetic ride control, RPO code F55 if the ride quality is your #1 priority.
I've driven my 2012 GS from Dallas to Pennsylvania so spent more than 8 hours driving at a time and found it comfortable. I'm 6 foot, 230lbs.
Best of luck,
Jason
