C6 ZR1 Spoiler. Request for Advice re: Quality
Hello
I'm reviewing listings for a ZR1 spoiler, to add to my 2005, so far finding an overwhelming difference in price.
The spoilers I find appear to be the same, or very similar, based on the descriptions. Ebay and Amazon have several listings, most in the range from $60.00 to $250. Then corvette specialty stores: Corvetteguys: $1020, west coast corvettes: $870. These are mostly unfinished, or "primer" spoilers. Some of the Ebay spoilers at $250 are painted.
My questions is: Are there any key items in these descriptions that I should be looking for, to determine quality. These look too much the same to me, so price and photographs alone appear to be unreliable indicators of what I'm getting.
Thanks for your time.

This is from Google search anything from unpainted ABS plastics to Carbon Fiber depends on what you are looking for. Once it is painted and on the car nobody will know the difference. Have it painted at a shop that you are familiar with.

I am trying out the EOS products before going to full carbon because of the cost and durability. Will see how they hold up. That rear spoiler I paid $210 from amazon and it looks great same as the front splitter. By comparison full carbon will be hundreds more.

I wouldn’t overspend from the “corvette speciality” places.
its likely the same exact brands you are getting elsewhere for cheap.
I got a spoiler from eBay. I think it was spoiler depot or something like that.
I want to say it was under $200 painted and shipped
i was tremendously surprised with the paint quality to be honest as well as the structural rigidity of the piece.
i would recommend those guys all day long, and i super **** retentive with quality.
I chose to not color match as i have a theme going on, but color matched to oem color code was an option for the same price

EOS makes some good stuff thats middle of the road and fits well. I'd avoid the ebay ones. I havent had the best of luck... if your looking for Carbon though go with Veloz or C7carbon.

Other than cost, the biggest issue would be the fit & finish of different spoilers, some better than others. I went with a C7 Carbon brand - their fiberglass & primed ZR1 extended model fit very well.

There ain't that many manufacturers spitting these things out, so there's that. I opted for an OEM piece I picked up from someone in the classified forum. You're probably over thinking this and instead should be preparing yourself for drilling holes in your hatch lid.

The EOS ZR1 rear spoiler is an exact replica of the OEM spoiler. The GM spoiler is also cheap abs plastic, so don't over-think it.

Personally, I would st away from the RPI one. The fit is decent and the do a nice job matching paint, but the third brake light area is poorly designed (and usually broken upon arrival from my experience and many posts here). And they have zero customer service.

I guess I had a different experience with RPI. I ordered one from RPI in November of 2020; the color match was great and I had no problems with the third brake light area at all. My brake light fit perfectly and no issues with any damage. Delivery time was pretty close to the time quoted.

I have an issue with the GM spoiler. The molding in the material around the 3rd brake light has deformed. It is almost like the material has stretched out and has created a space between the lense of the light and the spoiler surround.

I put on a new front splitter and C7 style side skirts on my 2007 Z06 that I got from ACS. The high top rear spoiler I think I got from C7Carbon but I can't confirm that until I get back home. It is a lot sturdier and fits better than the previous spoiler that I got from a supplier on this forum.
