Default C6 cabin filter location

Hey guys! I've been doing searches about where the cabin filter is located and have found a couple of C7 pictures, but not C6. Is it on the cowl behind the battery area? Thanks.

Thanks so much, you guys are all the best! I ordered a new filter, and now I'm sure of how to put it in.

And the filter should be installed with the arrow pointing down.

I pulled the trigger on a K & N cabin air filter. It's easy to clean, and with all of the dust we have in the desert I clean it about once a month.

There can be some nasty stuff in the filter. Be careful when sliding the new filter back in, they tend to crimp on the install.

I found a pile just like that and the mouse that made it (dead) when I pulled mine a while back!

For your application with dust storms, would say maybe, so long as your not over oiling the filter to transferring the oil to the coils. but getting enough oil onit so the filter is collecting most of the debris to being with, but most other places your better off with a dry charcoal cabin air filter that is replaced once a year instead.

Gilbybarr - I see something that looks like a cover for the filter compartment in that picture. Is there supposed to be a cover there?

Sorry, I tried it again and it appears to be working fine now. Might try again.
Try googling "C6 cabin filters location"and see if you get it.

Just info: when you oil any K&N 9 or that style, just go just half way across a pleat, next pleat the other half. and so on. Leave it over night and it will fill itself in. Remember the science experiment we did in third grade ( the celery stick in a glass with the colored liquid? Well I remember it!

I'm not the guy you asked, but yes that's the cabin filter cover. Mine was missing when I bought the car. I was about to order one but then I found it sitting in the battery tray. If you're asking because yours is missing, you may want to take look around that area.

@DR-08C6Z51 you called it. While I was fixing my broken battery tray I found the cover wedged behind the cylinder head!

Mine was full of leaves and dirt. The slight funk smell I had didn’t get better until I tossed the original floor mats and put in new ones.
