Will be used as a daily-driver and frequent track trips. I really like how he spent money on quality parts for all the big and small things. Plus, he has every track focused mod I can think of, but seems a little pricy. I humbly ask for the opinions of knowledgeable forum folk.

The problem with throwing all the "best" parts on the car, doesn't necessarily mean you'll get your money back for the mods. .......$45,000 or not on extras.

I agree, I don't think he expects to get his money's worth for those mods. But I was thinking, say 35000 is a good price for a low mile 2008 C6Z. If we assume 70% depreciation on mods, it comes out to about 13k, which adds up to 48k, which seems to me to be fair price for the car. Depending on market, I don't expect to lose toooo much money on this C6Z if I sell in the next 5-7 years, but who knows. Does my rationale check out?

If me. Instead of looking at all $45k in mods, I would look at the mods that are actually of value to me and dismiss those that aren't. Motor mounts, silicone hoses, etc would be of no value to me.

When I sold my heavily modified Z06 with a built and forged engine I was told repeatedly that mods don't add value and lost my a$$ on that car. I'd wouldn't pay more than $45K for that car, and that's only if it was done by a reputable shop. And be sure to test drive it first. I destroyed the drivability on mine by over-modding, and that car has similar mods. At least it has the LS9X clutch, which is the same one I used to help improve drivability. A twin carbon disc was a nightmare on the street.

Incidentally, where are you seeing low mileage 2008 Z06s for $35K? I paid more than that for a Grand Sport.

Not a C7 worth having (i.e., GS or Z06). But I wouldn't pay $53k for that Z06 either.

Honestly I think he's barely priced in the mods at all. That's a mid 40s car stock with it's low miles.

It's a nice list of mods and while I hate the spoiler, the rest of it is pretty nice. Guy built a solid track car that's faster than 99% of drivers, and did it right - focused on reliable and safe driving. That said, I find it odd he still has stock seats in it. Not having seats that take 6 points kinda makes all the aero bits he did look stupid and poser IMO. Maybe he just didn't get around to it, I dunno.

At that price point I don't see you getting a car that's more robust for track use. Buy another set of wheels for some street tires, take the wing off, and you've got a great dual purpose machine.

Just as an aside, you're gonna get a lot of "it's not worth that" responses from people who have never and will never track their cars. They'll say they drive it hard on the street, but really go 10 under in the left lane. Just keep that in mind, a lot of guys who will respond will have no idea why you'd want the mods to that car. Also keep in mind that is an insanely high level car, and if you're not a VERY experienced track driver, it's way more than you'll want or need.

Not saying you, just in general, people.on here say "oh well that car isn't worth that much, those mods aren't worth much or needed or whatever".

Lotf os guys on here think they're Corvette experts but think a meatball flag is for when olive garden offers unlimited pastas.

Seems like he spent lots of $$$ on the build & is now pricing the sale to recover as much as he can. My suggestion would be to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a reputable Corvette competition shop & then base an offer price on a local average for a stock '05 Z & then add a bit for the mods. Remember....just because money is spent on a build doesn't mean that it can all be recovered. Good luck.

To the right person looking for a track ready Z06 I think its a pretty fair price. This isn't for someone who wants a street car. This thing is a seat away from being a perfect track car. Assuming the heads we're done right and everything checks out I can easily see this car pulling that money for someone looking for something turn key.

I'm guessing the OE seats have been put back for sale. If the car checks out, then its a very good value... if that's the direction you want to go.
The brakes alone are worth $10k.
To me, its worth it...but I wouldn't daily it to be honest or use it as my sole car. That could get lame pretty fast...

If you expect to sell it in 5-7 years, list it the day you bring it home. I imagine it will take years to find the right buyer for that, especially if that spoiler is still on it.

I am not a big mod guy. In my humble opinion mods add nothing to a vehicle.

You would be buying what HE thinks is a good mod.

To me, it would be better to find a stock car for a regular price and spend any extra money on mods you like.

What jumps it at me are the fake Akra exhaust tips. Makes me wonder about what else might not be right about the car. Price is OBO so I’d guess he knows 53k is quite a stretch for what it is. Personally I wouldn’t touch it but if it has what he says it has and it floats your boat, go for it if you can get the price down a bit.
