Driving home from my overnight shift in NYC and I spot this old Monte’ driving down to the NJ Shore, which is cool enough in and of itself but the driver and passengers made me smile ear to ear.
Not the best pics and I know my window is a bit dirty on my daily but check out the 80+ year old driver and passengers. No airbags nothing. Just enjoying life, made my day!

Nice Monte Carlo SS. Bought an '84 new identical to that one nearly 40 years ago for my DD except it was Black with Burgundy interior.

I remember when these came out and all the hype in the magazines. Then, the feeling of disappointment after seeing one on a showroom floor, and knowing my Vega had more horsepower 😂

I miss my 70 Monte SS 454, Black HardTop, all original.
That car was like driving on a cloud. Great highway car with a 273 posi. I loved to floor it on a highway entrance ramp, and feel the 500 foot-pounds push you back into the strato bucket seats.
