Harmonic Balancer

Just buy the summit one and never worry about it again. Way too much overthinking going on in this thread.

I would go for the C2501:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-c2501
Or the Powerbond PB1117SS (like others suggested):
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pbb-pb1117ss
Either will be perfectly fine and WORLDS better than any OEM a shops going to use.
And you'll obviously need a new bolt, id get the little more expensive ARP for peace of mind..:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-234-2503
And finally since it's going to be looking at them while they're in there, do the front main seal:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-296-02
Done and done, never worry about it any of it again

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
That Harmonic Balancer bolt in the photo you posted above looks to be the original GM bolt, and not the 12-point ARP bolt as shown in the photo below:
Looks like your mechanic just re-installed your original GM bolt.

I had my C5 balancer, bolt, and front main seal replaced at the dealer last year for about $850 out the door.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here, since either words or punctuation is missing. If you’re saying that the 2023 OE version is fine, how could anyone know that at this point? The balancers don’t fail until they’ve had a bit of use. How long have these new balancers been in service and how many miles on average have they been used without a similar failure?

Gm engineer Joeseph Maldonado spoke with me at the Bowling Green plant and I asked,as I just had a new OE balancer installed, he stated the GM balancers are bonded different then in the past, the elastomer material in now synthetic instead of natural rubber. Have a great drive.

I got the Fluidampr as per the request of my mechanic. Paid a little more for it, but he said it’s pretty much among the best and I will never have to do it again. I did all the pulleys and tensioners while he was in there. It was a bit extensive and a little costly but, like I said, I will never have to worry about it again. Once I saw the horror videos about the balancer, I was afraid to drive the car. That was no way to live. I don’t even think about that thing anymore now.

You don't want to replace a defective HB with the same. Let the dealer fix it with parts from Summit. I think my total cost was around $1500 a couple of years ago. While you're at it, let them replace your front seal and install a new belt. Peter
