08 exterior mirrors wont stay set
Hi Gents,
As many here have just done, I've just reinstalled the battery and resurrected my 08 Vert with 35k miles.
I do this yearly removing the battery in November and reinstalling in April. Usually the only thing that looses its setting is the usual window index which is no big deal.
This year the exterior mirrors do not seem to hold the setting and reset to all the way down on every engine shut off.
I searched around but did not find anything. There must be some setting I am forgetting here as this usually does not happen when the battery is reinstalled.
Any ideas are welcome! Thanks! Gary

Thanks, I did actually think about trying that but was trying to avoid it! Lol.
Might be the only way though I agree. Will give it a try today or tomorrow.
I'll report back here afterwards. Thx!

Are you always using the same fob? Just remember that most cars have a fob programmed to the car as #1 and one programmed as #2. Those fobs can have different settings programmed or not programmed at all.
And only fobs #1 and #2 can program the mirrors.

Typically my mirrors always do this after a battery disconnect. Reposition and reset your memory and theyll stay.

are you resetting using the 1 & 2 buttons on the driver's side door? set the mirrors where you want them, then hit 1 or 2 (hold till you hear the beep, usually in 3 - 4 seconds), depending on which FOB you're programming.

Thanks bud I'll definitely try this and let you know. Strange that it did not need it before, but hey as long as it stays I'm happy.
I'll report back when done.
Thanks everyone!
