Default Has GM stopped making OEM Key Fobs for the C6?

I can't seem to find one anywhere. I paid for one on GMpartsonline.net but they quickly refunded the money and said they are out of stock with no mention of a re-order opportunity. GM Part No. 25926479

I'm having some electrical issues with the car and we're hoping that going with another OEM Key FOB may fix the issue. Let me know if anyone knows where I can find an OEM one, or maybe a dependable aftermarket brand if I must go the non-OEM route.

I hope not. I just bought one with only one key. I have a friend checking for me in Michigan. I was going to get the 80 one for second driver. But I have seen that at a lot of places. And the price with out ket is 150 and up

Try ebay. I just looked and saw a few OEM as low as $130.

No, they haven't stopped making them. It was kind of weird to order a $100+ key fob to just arrive in a plastic bag at the dealership. I dug up my estimate with the part #'s for the key/fob that I ordered from a local dealership here in Ohio.

Perhaps yours isn't a genuine GM fob.

I thought this was common knowledge- the design of the fob changed in 2008. The key fits bayonet style into the fob.

Bought my second one on eBay (made sure it was stamped "2" on it because I'm OCD) and added it to my car myself.

It was a few years ago, so link is long gone. I just searched "C6 Corvette FOB" and then searched for un-cut key to fit it. Had the key cut at Home Depot.

You can get them on Amazon.
