At this point why would you sell?

Yeah and that's the trouble because I'm lusting after a ZR1 which will only accentuate the speed problem I have with my built GS haha.

really felt it in the mid range though. I loved the sound of the idle too. that engine is long gone. maybe when the current warranty runs out, i may consider some upgrades.
currently it's nice to not any CEL to worry about.

I too own a 2008 victory red 1lt with Z51,NPP exhaust, chrome Gumby’s and dual roofs. Car is flawless love it, it’s also Manual. I have no desire to upgrade. The only others I would consider are a C6 ZR1 or a 63 split window. For now they would be out of my price range, for the money you can’t beat what we have

If it makes you feel any better, where I live I can't even use 70% of what my stock GS can do. Hell, with all these damn snowbirds down going 5 under, I can't even use 50% of my TBSS. I can't wait till these old fogeys go back anywhere else

I really enjoy my '06 Convertible, it's my daily driver, has a rag top, a manual transmission and I love driving it. I have done several modifications and have more planned. I can't think of anything else that I would rather drive evey day and have no plans to replace it. I bought it 3 years and 2 months ago as a low mileage garage queen and I currently have 70K miles on it and every day I can't wait to get behind the wheel. I tend to grow more and more attached with my Corvette with each mile, modification and maintenance item.

100% sure I will never sell my GS. Just never going to make cars like these again sadly.
And I could see me getting a convertible GS as a daily driver. Just such good cars.
My current daily is a 6th Gen Camaro SS. Since owning it for almost two years, I have come to appreciate how good the 5th Gen LT engines are so I would consider a C7 GS or a C7 Z06 as a daily.
But the C6 Corvettes to me are still the best generation. Best looks. Perfect combination of modern technologies but without most of the garbage tech they put in everything. And the OBDII implementation is nowhere near as oppressive as on newer cars so tuning is easier.
My 2017Camaro SS is tuned but even the slightest exhaust leak will throw a permanent code. No such bullshit on the C6’s.

Bought my C6 in February of 20.
Done a boatload of upgrades/cosmetic mods.
Still a work in progress with several more planned for this year.
0 interest in a C8 - little interest in a C7.
For me, my C6 (arguably with my mods) is perfect!

C8 too supercar for me. C7 just doesn’t do it for me either. C6 is the sweet spot. Thing just looks awesome. It just flows.
I could use a truck though, currently remodeling house, so often I lust after a 6.2 Raptor. However my C6 and Ford Excursion combo is doing me right for my needs. I just have to use my utility trailer a little bit.
The C6 definitely brings a smile to my face every single time I drive it. Love that car. Especially now that I have it sorted out. My wife loves driving it and is taking it more and more for trips to town grocery getting. It’s an Interstate mile eating cruising machine. Most favorite thing is jamming down HWY loping at 85 getting 28mpg. I don’t see it leaving the stable. I won’t need the passenger space in the Excursion once my son goes off to college in 2025, so I think it will be gone for a 6.2 Raptor. I want a Corvette V8 performance truck that isn’t EV. LOL

I had a 2017 C7Z convertible and a 2009 C6Z HPDE track car.
I started out trying to sell the C6Z but changed my mind and sold the C7Z several months ago at a high price.
I really like the C6Z and am glad I sold the C7 instead.
I recently returned the C6Z to stock. I decided I am at the end of my HPDE driving.
The only reason I would consider selling the C6Z is that parts are getting very difficult to find.

I still can't keep my foot out of this Grand Sport, but it's not near as tempting to take it anywhere near those speeds, especially with the top down. I made the right choice for me. That said, I'm turning the Grand Sport into my ZR1 bit by bit (at least in the looks department - power may or may not follow ).

But yeah, don't waste your time with a raptor if you want performance. They're turds. Maybe the new raptor R, but even that's sort of a turd vs a roush nitemare or.a Shelby super snake. I have a sneaking suspicion once the inline 6 makes it into the ram, those are gonna be wicked fast. They make the new grand wagoneer run low 4s at like 7000 pounds and not at all intended to be fast.

I don't have to imagine it. I lived it. And that's one reason I was okay with letting go of my ZR1. I do still regret it to some degree, though. My problem is I couldn't keep my foot out of it. I just knew that car was either going to get me arrested or killed one day when I just let it rip, held it to the floor as I watched the needle pass 160 MPH with it still pulling strong. I turned the ZR1 into a 2021 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate 4x4 at the beginning of 2021 and bought the Grand Sport August of last year.

I don't really want mine anymore. I do not drive it and it just takes up space on the lift in the garage. The reason I do not sell is because my perceived value of the car is much different than anyone shopping a C6 Z06.

Some thoughts; everyone has a different story...but for me, just owning it is something in itself. Satisfying merely as an object...a possession. An obsession? Simply impossible to park it and not look back at it. Smooth lines, voluptuous, sensual...without scallops, bevels, angles, wedges...seemingly tacked on as an afterthought.
Having said that, mine is my first Vette, 5yrs now...and I'm smitten. Ridiculous overkill for puttering around on street, or even on smooth backroads. Frankly. I'd be frustrated as heck if i never had the opportunity to wring it out a little to stretch its legs sometimes, and let it roar.
It really punches above its weight, and despite recent market fluctuations and such, I feel these are way way undervalued for anything with this performance...and looks. In the mundane world of CUVs, fugly compacts, or lookalike sedans (I can't tell most apart anymore), its striking. But, i bought mine to enjoy...as a toy, and every time it comes to life, it brings a smile to my face. I don't lust after anything else...this presses all the right buttons for me. Just needed a few small tweaks to enhance things. Hope I can enjoy it for years to come

The only Ford I lust after, though, is the GT. I'm still a Chevy guy at heart.

Not enough garage space!

It's funny you mention that. A room addition on our house (we built a theater room with captured attic space) is what prompted me to sell our 2017 Acadia, sell the ZR1, and buy my Denali.

Inline six diesel? Or gas? I'll have to go look that up. My Denali has the the straight six inline 3.0L diesel, and it's fantastic! Same amount of torque as the 6.2L gas engine, but with significantly better gas mileage.
