As they say... every make and model of cars has it`s own problems. Buy whatever flavor that makes you happy. If you are not sure keep looking and it will find you.

The reason there are more 2005-2007 Corvettes for sale is because they made many more of the earlier 2005-2008 Corvettes:
2005: 37,372
2006: 34,021
2007: 40,561
2008: 35,310
2009: 16,956
2010: 12,194
2011: 13,596
2012: 11,647
2013: 13,466

Yup. 2008 was a throat punch to the economy for a variety of reasons, and the goober running the country didn't know how to fix it.

Strange, looks like it was just time for the C6s to go. Same Goober was still in there when the C7s came out.

I agree production numbers are a very large part of the relative availability of some years. I’ll leave the relative gooberness assigning to others - funny though.

A little over a year ago I bought my 09. I found the mid-generation updates in 08 worth the extra to me.

You must be talking about George W. Bush

The financial “crisis” of 2008/2009 was the remedy to a decade and a half of subprime mortgage lending. G W Bush and President elect Obama, and their staffs met to formulate the plan that was implemented at the time. The real point of contention was regular working people and large banking interests - many large banks received federal help and none were prosecuted. Many working people lost their homes.

Anyway, this thread is why there seem to be more 05-07 Corvettes for sale than 09-13. The general economic landscape of the nation at the time would seem to be behind the lower production of later C6 years, despite improvements made in 08, notably LS3 engine, improved steering, and manual transmission.
